Who was President pre-2016 and enacted a shite-ton of retarded mandates for safety and emissions? There's your answer.
Bro, it’s takes more than an engine to make a car work. I have a ‘19 Ford and the engine/transmission are the only things not causing me problems.
On the whole, American cars are very cheaply made.

My American made Tundra did not make the list. All of those imports from Mexico seem to be having a hard time not being Fixed, Or Repaired, Daily.

What’s the issue with the 15-19 Silverado / Sierra out of curiosity?

And that’s why once you go Toyota, you never go back.

I've always wondered why no American companies have thrown a blank check at some of Toyota's engineers.
Having see how some companies operate (Clam Corp for one) they don't value competent engineering. They would rather invest their money in ideas from middle management over what those pesky engineers recommend.

You will offend the Wrangler bros who love vastly overpaying for cheap made crap, with no power, and custom additions that make you look even more stupid for investing that much money into a Chrysler product

I drive a 2010 Chevy Malibu with 168,000 miles that works great so…..

I can vouch that the Chrysler Pacifica 2017 has MAJOR AC compressor issues. I've had the car for 3 years and have had to replace the compressor twice and it still doesn't work right.
What are the lemon laws on this? If the same issue pops up consistently, am I entitled to anything?

Toyota's production system is not a secret. There are multiple books about it. Other manufacturers are just unwilling to make the corporate cultural shifts.

I put a 150K miles on a 2012 F-150 before giving it to my Dad who sold it for $2500 at 180K miles and thought it was a damn good vehicle. And it was.
Then I bought a 2015 Tundra Platinum. Currently at 190K miles and starting to drop off in ride performance and comfort. Then, again I live a half mile from the gulf, drive it like an idiot, forget routine maintenance like an idiot, and rinse it off maybe once every two weeks and wash it monthly like an idiot. That massive V8 will have its way with you on mileage but damn its a beast. To date, I replaced the rusted out running boards and had the front seats recovered, and worry about underbody rust being an issue moving forward, but living on the coast and pushing 200K thats to be expected. Everything else would be maintenance.
So, basically, the durability of a Toyota tundra turns one into an idiot. That's all I got.

What's up with GMC/Chevy trucks in '15-'19 and '21?
Some major model changes?
How is it that '20 was ok? They just didn't make any?

Hell even Nissan, who most ppl consider cheap and POS, had very few models and no trucks or big SUVs.
Japanese made.

List is shite without Mini Cooper on it.

Mine with less than 33,000 miles has already had the torque converter replaced and the fuel pump control module replaced. The lock/unlock button broke and the drivers seat up/down operation is sketchy.
Meanwhile my 2016 Altima with 139,000 has been flawless other than the damn CVT which Nissan ate all but $2,000 of the cost.

Any Nissan/Infiniti with a CVT should be on the list and bolded.

Genesis looks to be much more reliable than Hyundai and Kia. Only earlier model years for two of their sedans.
