He has some sort of developmental issue. He needs to see a therapist. Your bullshite bullying parental style is not helping.

Why? You personally have over 12,000 posts on an internet message board but refuse to let your kids participate in what is completely normal behavior for modern day American kids.

The OP has a long history of being a complete dumbass, but yall are being just a ridiculous here. When I was young, I would absolutely lose my mind if I didn't make a 100 on a spelling test or strike out in baseball. I was a huge perfectionist and couldn't handle making mistakes to the point of my mother having to come get me in first grade for arguing with a teacher over a spelling test.

Guess what, I grew out of that shite, I still did and do demand a lot from myself, but I had to learn that you can only control what you can control and mistakes happen. And now I'm a normal functioning adult.

10 is probably a little to old to still be doing that shite, but it sounds like he's not getting any help at home. Yall that are diagnosing the kid as austisic over an internet post are the reason so many kids are taking amphetamines as toddlers.

Same. My teacher gave out packs of sports cards for 100s on spelling. There’s no excuse for kids to have a week and not learn them.

Do you rough play with him? I started wrestling w/ all of mine around 1 y/o and they're all pretty tough.

Did all the "GOOD FALL" reaction shite.

Is he watching Calliou?

All jokes aside, the average kid today is fat, lazy and uneducated to the point of supporting communism. Why would I want that for my kids?

It's funny how the OT gets on a crusade and abandons what it preaches 99.99% of the rest of the time. Now TV and video games are good and necessary and playing outside is some sort of punishment if one of the parents posts on a message board 3.2 times per day, which can easily be rounded up to 50 times a day.

How many 10 year old communists do you know? I personally know zero.

Someone’s getting frustrated with the concept of hyperbole.

Junior is gonna learn some healthy coping mechanisms tonight, I’m sure.

Hyperbole should still make a point. Since I don't spend a lot of time on here posting, you have no point. You want kids inside being entertained by electronics and I don't. Common sense and science would side with me, but in the throws of passion, the OT can't tell its head from its arse.

You posted 21 times yesterday and This is your 7th post before 1 o’clock.

Science probably doesn’t favor telling your kid no one respects him or laughing at him but you seem to have no trouble plowing down that road.

I was pressured into wrestling as a kid. I hated it. I then discovered the rifle team and loved it. It just takes kids finding the right thing sometime.

Like thinking any show of emotion is a weakness

I highly doubt that this is what the OP thinks. I highly doubt that he'd be that mad if his boy cried every once in a while. But what he's describing makes it seem as if his son is crying every day. You can have emotions without being emotional.

None of the examples you have given are actual examples of toxic masculinity. Mainly because they're not mutually exclusive with masculinity.

For whatever reason, a lot of the posters in this thread and on this site seem to think that if a man or woman isn't too keen on showing emotions, that that means that there's something inherently wrong with that person. When in reality, stoicism is a very worthwhile trait to practice and one that ought to be practiced probably more often than it is nowadays.

OP can’t handle basic criticism- he responds w/ some stupid “I’m macho” retort …maybe it’s not toxic masculinity (mainly bc any masculine man i know, accepts criticism) ….but he sure exhibits toxicity

I'm not sure it's even an "issue". Kids develop differently. Some are very emotional. While obviously this isn't typical, it may not be anything to worry about at all. In fact, I think there's a 98% chance that's the case.

You sound like a horrible parent, Op. Take your child to therapy, please.

Just because your son came from your sperm, your son is not you. He is his own independent person. It's ok for him to not be a carbon-copy of you and your personality.
