It is not exactly a track car. It is a 4 door family sedan that can hang or best them if you wanted to.

You do not see those videos, because that is not the target audience. People who track their cars are extremely rare and those people want that excitement of a dino fueled car.

Top100!

Well the track has turns, and it does pretty well there.

What is your damn argument, does it suck on the track or not.

Maybe cherry pick a track I guess

Any reliable ICE car you can buy will absolutely spank any Tesla in a race across the country.

You are confusing fast and quick.

So 200+mph is not fast???

What is your definition of fast and explain where Tesla fails?

In the corners, yes.

The Ring is a horsepower track and even there it's only in your "top100" production cars.

Say what about dead things?

We can all find a scenario for our side to win.

My Jeep will absolutely beat every car in this thread racing off-road.

My neighbor's boat will beat my Jeep across the lake.

Did you read the whole list, haha.

Electricity can come from many sources, which includes the dead things I listed. Your argument was lacking when you tried to say Energy only comes from fossil.

Cars got one option - dead things. Well, one largely accepted option, before you try to drop some synthetic fuel into the equation.

You should check out that list and actually see the cars in front of it. We are talking a heavy 4 door sedan here, it is quite the achievement.

Let Tesla make a light track focused 2 coupe/sports car and see what they can do.

It's 7:35 'Ring time is impressive probably top 10 4 door cars. That said if you watch the lap it is probably the most unsettled car under 8:00 and likely under 8:30. It is just a complete handful and makes time between the corners and the 'Ring rewards HP. It isn't a poor handling car but it won't have the apex speeds of performance sedans like an M3, M5 or CTS V, and on tracks that don't have huge sections of WOT those cars will have an advantage. The EV species has a lot of advantages for performance but nobody outside Rimac and Nio have really explored the potential. We shall see how the new Tesla Roadster does.

For most people, witg all things considered, having that tesla is not practical.

I’ve had a Tesla Model 3 Long Range for a little over a year.

I don’t see how it wouldn’t be practical for anyone else, assuming you can charge at home (which most people would be able to do).

I’ve taken it on 10-20 road trips ranging from 500-1000 miles. Road trips aren’t “difficult”, they just take more time. You aren’t in and out in 5 minutes, more like 30-40.

That could be a deal breaker for some. I don’t mind stretching my legs a bit on a long trip, personally. And it’s more than made up for by the simplicity and savings of home charging every night for my daily use. Plus autopilot on a road trip is a game changer. I travel often, used to be in ICE vehicles. My wife has a Nissan Rogue. Any road trip we take is always the Tesla, autopilot makes the driving experience so much less exhaustive mentally.

I’ll gladly take an extra few minutes for a car that will drive itself.

I'll have to see it to believe it.

How long can the Tesla maintain that speed? That will take a lot of juice.

I lapped COTA in my buddies. It’s not a terrible handling car. Especially for its size. You throw that package in something sports sized with decent suspension and rubber and it would be a monster.

How much does your daily drive cost you in gas per month? It costs me about $40/month to charge my car.

Teslas are faster and more practical u less you’re driving more than 350 miles per day.
