To produce enough BTU's to keep a room at 65, those candles will fricking kill you.

DO NOT DO THIS

Thankfully, nothing but sleet in S’port. Steady sleet for six hours or so.
NWS says “unknown precipitation” at DTN, sleet mixed with rain currently but not much longer to no rain (short term I’d suspect) based on radar.

Pines in my yard don’t show signs of icing yet.

You are not wrong. But I’m capable of digesting his musings and separate the BS. That post was soley to show the moving map of weather not his rantings. He still knows weather when he stays away from the pol side.

Just like posts on this board you always have to decide what to believe or not.

It depends what the temp was when electric went out. It may not have been really cold maybe in 50’s?

Someone mentioned biscuits, dammit that's a good idea. Feels like one of those days to ignore calories.

Remember, utilities used emergency declarations to justify rate increases in the past. I think thats why OK didn’t declare. Food for thought

The sleet stopped. It’s snowing at my place in Shreveport now.

Broadmoor area.

ETA: Correction. That was a window observation. It’s still sleeting but snow is mixing in now.

I'm not the best to ask about this one, I haven't paid much attention to the details outside of my area. I know we are forecast to warm up throughout tonight, into the low 40s. If that does happen it should help with any freezing rain accumulation.

We say stuff like this every time but I think this is even an extreme case, it's crazy how fine the line is, we aren't gonna be above 29 until Tuesday but drive a hour and it's gonna warm up sort of nicely
