My FIL is an engineer that specializes in bridges and he says that bridge will make world news one day, and not in a good way.

I got downvoted on an earlier thread for saying that Shell does not allow their employees to cross this bridge when on company business. It is true. The bridge is rated a 6.6 out if 100 on a safety scale.

Lake Charles Bridge has massive safety issues 6.6 rating out of 100

Do I remember correctly that Trump said he would replace the bridge if he is re elected? Was when he came to speak at plant / refinery or something a couple years back.

So did the bridge make it this morning? I expected it to be thrown into the lake.

My company also doesn’t allow us to drive over it when on company business.

Then how come they haven’t tried building a new one to this point?

See this is what I don’t get about Louisiana. You got a problem, everybody knows it’s a problem...we just sit around looking and talking about the problem.
