There is an OMV place near me that issues them.
I was reading the requirements to get one but I have a passport and twic card.

No real problem…just allow an hour or so for extra screening. I would bring all of the documents that are available to prove who you are. Bring things that you would be required to produce in order to get a real ID such as birth certificate, social security card, even utility bills.
Your state should have been asking you for these things upon drivers license renewal.

I’d skip that in this case. The only utility bills he will have with an address matching his ID will be 3+ months out of date. Might bring up more questions than helping streamline the process.
The “fun” part is OP is totally at the whims of the agent. They don’t have to let him through. Not being able to get on the flight this evening will be a bummer. Being able to today but getting hung up on the return flight would be a fun conversation with your boss on why you are calling in.

Bro they’ve been warning you about Real ID for 10-15 years now. You deserve whatever you get.
It seems like it been closer to 20, but how long has it been available in Louisiana?

Like 8 fricking years.
And OP should have switched to Texas anyway (been in state for more than 90 days).
Hope he can make it, but don’t have too much sympathy. He kinda made his own bed.

Just go to the airport an hour or two early. There’s no excuse for this though, people have known about it for years. Could have gotten a global entry card and that would have sufficed.

And I think Texas has been issuing them by default since about 2014. It ain't fricking hard. This is like flying with a family, taking no responsibility, and being surprised that you're all seated 15 rows from each other at the gate.

I flew 2 weeks ago and they had people without real ID or passport. They pull you to the side and do an additional screening. If you can't go get one this morning you can probably just show up to the airport early and deal with the extra BS.
This. I haven't heard of anyone flat out being denied entry, and you know people would throw a fit and blab everywhere. They just give you a flyer and do additional screening. You do however piss off everyone in line behind you who has to wait for all the extra steps to play out.

Or a passport/card. Which you’d probably have before getting a global entry card anyway.
I honestly made a point to get a passport even when I had no plans to travel when they started to lock this identity verification stuff down in both public and private. Wanted to have a backup just so I had something in case my wallet was lost/stolen.

One thing I’ll say is that I think the flyer is also a flag on your account. Attempt it too often and they will see how many times you have been told it’s not acceptable. Increases odds on the judgement call to deny entry.

I don’t think this will work. His current address and LA DL address won’t match

Y'all have private places that issue IDs in Louisiana?
Yes
That's pretty cool
I've given LA a hard time on the RealID thing since many states have mandated forever, but at least you guys have options.

I got mine at Hi Nabor. It is super quick!
In Baton Rouge, Louisiana, you can obtain a Real ID at Neighborhood Auto Title, located inside Hi Nabor (5383 Jones Creek Rd) and at their Coursey location (11445 Coursey Blvd). To get a Real ID, you'll need to provide documentation proving your identity, social security number, and two proofs of Louisiana residency
