Mates,

When i was a kid growing up in the latter Mora and Ditka years, all i wanted was to see the Saints listed on the playoff picture graphic. Just being 5-6 or whatever and on the chart and not 2-9 and totally out of it. On that note

1. Detroit (12-1)
———
2. Philadelphia (11-2)
3. Seattle (8-5)
4. Tampa Bay (7-6…don’t get too cozy pal)
———
5. Minnesota (11-2)
6. Green Bay (9-4)
7. Washington (8-5)

IN THE HUNT

- LA Rams (7-6)
- Atlanta (6-7)
- Arizona (6-7)
- San Francisco (6-7)
- New Orleans (5-8)
- Dallas (5-8)

NFC South

Tampa Bay 7-6
Atlanta 6-7
New Orleans 5-8
Carolina 3-10

When you look at the schedules of the teams ahead of us. It’s very likely if the Saints keep winning that they can win the division or even get that 7th spot. I think the Bucs and saints should move up to 9th and 10th by the end of next sunday night and we have a chance to get to 8 or 9th the following week with a win. Seattle, Rams, 49ers, and Arizona all play each other and have tough schedules. They’ll be fighting for that division title and an outside team can take that 7th spot. We gotta beat Washington though. They have a tough schedule also.

Do not be surprised if we are 6-7 with Washington coming into the Dome. I do not think we are out of this at all.

It's not impossible. I'd say 50/50.

Then imagine tb going 1-1 (Carolina and lv); 6-7 as well

Atlanta going 0-2 (LA chargers and Minnesota); 6-7

The issue is after that, Atlanta will likely go 3-1 at worst (lv, nyg, Washington, Carolina) being 9-8.

While Tampa has LA chargers, Dallas, Carolina, and us - let's say 2-2 with the losses to us and chargers puts them at 8-9.

And finally us. We would have Washington, at green bay, Las Vegas, and at Tampa Bay. We'd have to run the table to hit 10-7 to win the division.

Washington has 2 easy games (Dallas, Tennessee) and should win one of the other 3 (new Orleans, Philly, Atlanta) to go 10-7. Green Bay and Minnesota will win 10+ games

Are we saying 10-7 gets us in? We just have to take care of business….

Crazy the Saints would only be 1 game out of 1st if they didn’t drop one to the shite tastic Panthers.

IMO, the Buccaneers have the inside track to win the division because of their schedule. They played the Giants. Now they play the Panthers, Raiders, Chargers, Cowboys, Panther then Saints.

They might not actually lose another game until the playoffs.

Winning the division is the only way I see us having a shot, and it's still minimal. I don't doubt for a minute that Atl and TB will drop at least 1 winnable game

Rams -1.5

If we lose this one, it's time to make a run at Travis Hunter

Although there were rumors that DA was getting fired regardless of win/loss at Carolina I don't believe them. Winning @ Carolina would have most likely just pushed back the DA firing and no chance we beat the Falcons in the Dome with DA.

I could see Carolina beating Atlanta when they play again if Carolina plays anything like what they did against the Chiefs yesterday.
