He style of play is best fitted for what he did with Brees (occasionally) and his body is getting older. He got hurt twice in one season.

Let's hope he's our backup again next year.

I like hill, but I think his contract all but sealed his fate as a starter. No way the saints let him get the snaps needed for the big salary boost

Unfortunately, you'd be wrong if yesterday was the only indication of his ability to play QB in the NFL. Before he left the game he was 7/9 for 107 yards, 11.9 yards per completion and a touchdown with zero sacks and zero interceptions. That's pretty good considering his usual performance passing the ball. He makes his money being a utility player, but the man is a decent QB2...a much better option than Siemian, who seems to be VERY conservative when passing the ball, 4.5 yards per completion. Not to mention dropping the ball while trying to throw a quick pass. I'll agree he is not a full-time starting QB in the NFL. He's a Tim Tebow type of QB that needs a certain system to really thrive in, which doesn't exist in today's NFL. The Ravens' offense is the closest you'll get to his style, and Sean Payton will never go to a system like that. I was happy to see a lot of under-center, 21 personnel action...giving the FB some love.

I think you can make an argument that the style he plays best and which gives the team the best chance to win - running in short-yardage situations and occasionally on other downs - makes him more prone to injury.

But yesterday may have been his best passing performance as a pro, before he was injured. Whether that is the offensive line playing better with the returning starters, the receivers finally stepping up or Hill improving with more starting experience - or a combination of the three - is ripe for debate.

I choose to enjoy that the Saints beat the Falcons, which is always great joy.

^^This is true. It was the best he looked as a QB. However it's also true that he got injured. Unfortunately he gets injured fairly often. This year he's had a major concussion, knee, finger, and now foot injuries. The finger is a bit of a freak accident, but the rest are part of a result of how he plays the game. This is somewhat similar to Davenport in how they are both almost too strong & athletic for their own good. But for Taysom, who will be 32 by the start of next season, injuries don't typically stop or even slow down once you get to his age.

We scored 30 in jets and falcons games. If armstead isn't gonna be back, perhaps a tackle in the 1st round isn't a bad idea. I'm assuming we feel good about Thomas being back next season.

Taysom was straight dealin'. The two incompletions were the strike to the endzone to Deonte that was a couple inches from being a TD and the pass to Marquez in the endzone in which Callaway stumbled/tripped. Yesterday was the best QB passing performance that the Saints saw all season.

Taysom never had a start in which Kamara, Arrmstead, and Ramczyk all played. Armstead only played in the Jets game and yesterday was the first time that Ramczyk protected Taysom as a starter.

On point perspective. Yesterday was the Taysom that i know.

Hurst is solid at LT and gets a major boost considering his contract. He’s a great value and you need those in the nfl…especially if you’re needing to allocate funds to more playmakers

Not to mention good durability this season

Either have hurst at lt or move ram over and hurst can handle rt

I was thinking draft tackle and move hurst inside. Maybe we like young though and tackle isn't a concern

Hill has way more of a pure QB skill than Tebow and I kinda like Tebow for what he was.

Trevor Siemian should have been playing the entire time. Taysom was never the answer and that was known before the season started.
