would this be a good or bad thing?

I say good for both if they can put their egos aside.

Next Year:
MT
JW
MI
OBJ
Camaro
DAMM

In theory, they compliment each other well since they do totally different things for the most part.

Thomas has never complained about not getting the ball enough, so i doubt it would be an issue for him

Considering MT's injury history and his hesitancy to get timely surgery, they may never lineup on the Saints team together whatsoever.

This is going to be a huge wake up call to Thomas. It could go one of two ways.

Best case scenario it's a positive and Kamara, Thomas, OBJ as the allure for Aaron Rodgers or Russel Wilson to join in next season.

if they both can stay healthy, they both can co-exist and it'd be our best duo since colston-graham

I think they would be complimentary of each other however I believe it also means a move away from the run first offense (remember we are talking about next year)and if Jameis is still out (his injury could keep him out until this time next year) particularly if he also sustained damage to his mcl.

Was Jameis ACL injury more severe than Burrow’s? They went down around the same time.

It's my understanding that Jameis also sustained some damage to his MCL. If this is true they supposedly can't start a standard rehab on his ACL until his MCL is healed.

*not a knock on Brees, but…*

Never needed to complain because he would often get force fed the ball. There were only a few times where he would go extended period of times without a target, then suddenly it was the MT quarter.

But, he was also that good/reliable, and usually had substandard talent at the other WR positions

Would be way too much dead cap to release/trade him next off-season. If memory serves me correctly, it’ll only save a few M while needing to spend that for a replacement. Plus w his injuries and contract, you won’t get too value until he touches the field.

My guess is the earliest you’ll see a move is next trade deadline and the most likely situation (if the Saints want to move him) is you’ll see a restructure after the season to make his contract more friendly for a trade after the ‘22 season
