The Saints worst FA signing = Tebucky Jones and Jason David.

Another bad/overpaid FA flop was Joe Horn to the Falcons.

Forget Emmit Smith, what about Edgerrin James. That was an awful signing.

Jason David was pretty bad, but it's true that this made him look much worse. With good safety play, he wouldn't have been exposed nearly as often or as badly.

exactly...when asked to play zone he was ok and would actually play the ball pretty well, he just couldn't cover a guy man on man (especially deep) for anything(the safety play didn't help AT ALL).

That's funny because, that was kinda his position. What a waste.

Jason David didn't set us back to years. he was exactly as bad as fred thomas. So i would say he continued or shite for another year.

not when he comes from a cover 2 zone scheme where he actually had some success.

We tried to make him into something he obviously wasn't.

Jason David set the Saints back 10 months

Kerry Collins set them back 3 weeks, 5 days, 9 hours and 26 minutes

I hated on Fred Thomas until Jason David came around.

Fred Thomas was actually very good until he got old and the Saints were determined to keep playing him in man coverage. He was a trooper and I still remember him swatting people with the cast on one arm.

Jason David was pretty indefensible. The only play he made was the strip against Reggie Wayne in his first series as a Saint. It's not like he had any safety help.

Usama Young has gotten burnt just as bad David did but they've kept him around.

The Saints have been blessed not to have any absolute horrible CBs the last three years. I think they finally figured out sticking 34 yr old CBs on an island probably wasn't the best strategy.

Probably not the worst but I hated Tebucky Jones b/c he was signed to be "The Man" in the secondary which in turn ran my favorite player Sammy Knight out of town.

Sammy Knight = Pro Bowl
Tebucky Jones = Whiff
