Strengths: Still has a strong arm, matured over the past few years, great work ethic, young and hungry, athletic enough to move out of the pocket.

Weaknesses: Decision making, ability to read defenses, holding on to the ball too long, and now the injury bug.

What do you think holds him back from being our long-term QB solution?

Injuries will likely de-rail his career.

To me, this is the only thing stopping him. He is still a very good QB if not great. Now that we have weapons and what looks to be a good OL, he should have great numbers this year barring injuries.

Not sure if reading a defense is a problem. Decision making, holding on to the ball too long I agree, short pass accuracy is also one.

This is the big one in my mind, and Winston has acknowledged the need to work on it. He's too inconsistent with his touch on short passes.

Isn't this only his 2nd major injury? Does that really make him injury prone; especially considering how fluky this knee injury was

Jameis Winston had 1 high interception year. Get off his nuts. This shitty narrative against him has to stop.

Strengths- running ability, toughness, strong, strong arm

Weaknesses- leadership, decision-making, injuries

For the first time in YEARS (ever?) our backup is just as good as our starter.

We’ll be good this season regardless of who is playing QB.

Would like to see him improve his touch in the short game.

Other than that like many have said is to stay healthy.

I may be wrong but I think a lot of this was bc he had jiffy lube techs playing WR and no one was really open.

I know people say he has the ability to run but he's always been more of a pocket passer. He's big but not fast always considered his running ability to be more on par with what a young Ben Rothlisberger used to do because of his size.

Strengths: strong arm, great pocket presence, he seems to have grown up and dedicated to improving.

Weaknesses: Sometimes struggles to identify defenses at the line of scrimmage, struggles sometimes with the short pass.

If he continues to improve and minimizes his mental errors he could really stand out if our wr's stay healthy

Accuracy on short passes is easily his biggest weakness imo.

I didn't really see any other big weaknesses from him last year. Maybe staying healthy, I guess.

Do what we did last year with a healthy O Line and better skill talent. He can be solid with a managed approach. Run the ball and rely alot on play action. Call the game to compliment the defense. Skill set wise he can drive the ball down field at all levels. Good deep ball placement. He can make a low percentage play slightly higher. Awkwardly athletic. He is a bit slow.in his progressions and has a elongated release that gives a tell where he is going with the ball gives the DBs a chance to react.

I would say those are pre Saints weaknesses, looking forward to seeing him in a full season as our starter!

Weaknesses: Not a winner. Immature. When things go bad, which they will do in a game in a season, he’s not a stable QB. He needs to prove himself.
