Seriously? He can’t like waking up and dealing with this cluster frick he’s caused. He’s been at the helm for 25+ years, is he that infatuated with himself he can’t do the right thing? Retire, take all your millions, go do something less stressful in your life.

Why would he quit a job he loves and has no pressure at performing

How about coaches coach. Players play.
Were down Ellis, Banks, Tyson, Etienne, Bresee, and we got aging dudes like cam, Godchaux, Kamara, Shepherd, Ruiz that’s time to go. We still rebuilding to extents. But it’s easy just to scream and be angry and DEMAND FIRINGS.

correct.
He even said at one of his pressers that he was comfortably uncomfortable. In other words, the team isn't producing and that falls on him, but he'll never be forced out.

I strongly suspect Mickey has other behind the scenes duties that are not really publicly discussed that means he essentially still never be out of the Saints organization. Things related to the business of the Saints like finances and investments, business write-offs and tax management, schmoozing the right people in government, etc. Like it or not, a guy with that type of skills is a good employee to have from a business perspective.

Probably because he enjoys the time spent with Gayle

Working as GM for the Saints is like having a government job.
He has a lifetime appointment under the wing of Ma Benson.
He can hide, quiet quit, take trips all over the country, and go to games whenever and wherever he wants.
Zero pressure.
Zero accountability.
BIG CHECKS.
Generational money.
Who quits a job like that?

When do actual government officials call for his head?

Why would he? He knows he can’t get fired. Sit back, put this shite on autopilot and collect the checks

we all get it. any other team he woulda been fired years ago for the massive failure he is.
we have an absentee owner who is clueless. he is taking advantage of her.
we are a joke organization for allowing this. laughing stock.
you wishcasting and trying to manifest something will not work.
nothing will change. we are royally screwed until gayle sells.

He is co-executor of gayles will and a trustee for the trust funded by the proceeds upon her passing. Dude's never leaving.

Why would he? Gayle pretty much made him a "made man" when putting together the group supposedly responsible for keeping the team in New Orleans after she croaks. He and Lauscha are untouchable.

He probably enjoys your pain.

Exactly. People need to realize he isnt going anywhere. Im sure in the will there is a section saying he either gets a cut of the sale, gets to keep his job until he wants to retire, or he gets a piece of the Saints as he will become minority owner.

He’s just hanging on till cap hell ends. Then he can overspend on bad contracts once again.

He and the rest of his posse are laughing all the way to the bank as soon as Gayle signs their checks.
Posted on 10/12/26 at 1:18 am to Catchfalaya
Because Mickey is part owner of the team lol

Who in their right mind would resign from a multi million dollar cush job with no repercussions? I know I wouldn't. He's laughing all the way to the bank.

idk about that but the proceeds from selling off her estate in trust fund other investments in which returns are doled out to the city and charities in perpetuity
