The first year of…….
Aaron Brooks……
I watched them for a few years before that, but Aaron Brooks is when I actually knew how the game was played and got excited about watching each sunday.

1981, Archie Manning at the end.
Was also the first year of Bum Phillips and George Rogers.

I watched the last year of Mora. I truly had no idea what was going on though. I went to the Niners game in the dome when Turnbull got ejected. I also oddly remember fred weary getting an interception in that game. We lost like 16-6.
I think the first time I understood what was going on QB wise, Danny Wuerffel was playing QB and then shortly after there was the infamous Billy Joe Hebert vs Billy Joe Tolliver QB battle.

From day one, Gary Cuozzo and Jimmy Taylor, who were on the cover of SI in the classic Saints Gold and White uniforms.

The dueling Billy Joe’s, don’t ask me which got the unfortunate call to start that day. I think it was Tolliver though as I seem to remember the QB being a fire-crotch.

First I remember is Bobby Hebert.
I couldn't tell you who it was between Manning and Hebert...

Billy Kilmer, the starting QB in game one against the Rams in 1967.
