re: Best LSU Saint?

Jimmy Taylor may have had the best pro career but his glory days were with the Packers, not the Saints. By the time he got here he was washed up.
This is almost verbatim what I stated in my post. The discussion was about what metric are we using via the subject title to determine "Best.", which was not very well defined. I realize this is splitting hairs, but, being an old guy (also stated in my post) I saw an opportunity to give a little LSU history and was justified in mentioning JT31 because, by the subject title, he was both LSU and a Saint.

Not to mention, I added Taylor's Super Bowl ring and Mathieu got one with the Chiefs.I know TM7 recently retired and has the 5 year wait, but surely he will be in the running for the HOF?
I looked up JT31 NFL stats and I thought I saw he was the first ever running back to rush for over 1000 yards for five seasons in a row. That was in a 12 game season. He also went to five Pro Bowls and won the MVP over Jim Brown in, I believe, 1963.
No matter how you rate them, these were two outstanding football talents.
If TM7 gets into the HOF we will talk again.
Take Care

Thanks for the reply and I agree with you
. I would mention that it is not so much logic as it is reading interpretation/comprehension. I, and you, know what the OP was asking, and if he had said the best LSU Saint who displayed the most athleticism, produced the best stats, or was the best team leader, etc. we have a better defined starting point. He did not and the title was nebulous, at best.
I'm not trying to be a dick or start an argument.Just making conversation. :geauxtigers:

Jimmy Taylor.
Really old guy here, been a Saints fan since day one. I would bet most of the young bucks have never heard of Jimmy Taylor.LSU full back way back in the late 50's, just before the '58 National Championship team with Billy Cannon, et al.
He was on the Green Bay first ever Super Bowl twinning team, NFL HOF class of 1976 and LSU All-America.
What did he do for the Saints? Unfortunately, not very much. He was pretty much used up by the time he played for the Saints and it was only for one year, the first Saints season of 1967.
So, I guess it depends on what is the meaning of "Best LSU Saint."
I'll go with Jimmy Taylor,

I'll go with Jimmy Taylor,

You want Trump to hand you her status over the years, personally? Or are you just wanting to add dumbass to your posting status, as well?
Reading comprehension,it's a gift.
For the third time, the post had nothing to do with Melania and her immigration status. Sweet Jesus.
That story goes back to July, 2015.There was some big to-do about her status. Trump promised to produce her papers. He said with a smile, "She has everything documented and organized, and you will see it in two weeks." But he didn't. Sort of like his taxes which he promised at that same time period to produce after his "audit." But he didn't. Sort of like the crash report. But he didn't.
Just saying there seems to be a pattern of Trump promising something and not delivering. You know, like a wall, health care program, infrastructure plan.
And I said all that without calling you names.

WTF are you even talking about? You don't know me from Adam but I am supposedly trans, or something?
Where is the logic? Or like some people, you just make shite up?

Thanks for the tempered response. At least you didn't call me a "baby back bitch."

Dude, so much hate. Seek professional help.
You completely missed the point. I wasn't attacking Melania. I was only saying that trump promised to produce the papaerwork and never did. And he has been doing the same shite since the summer of 2015. The latest is the "crash report" that he supposedly has but won't release.

So is every other politician, including Willie Brown
So now two wrongs make a right? Is that the way it works? I'm speaking in generalizations here.
How about that other thing called the Ten Commandments that speaks of "bearing false witness against thy neighbor?" For all the good Christians out there, (Catholic raised and educated here), and Trump a self proclaimed Christian just last week at, I believe, the Atlanta rally, how exactly does that work?
Trump either lies, or mistakes an incident. Par for the course. No really big deal.
He then proceeds to lie about Willie Brown (both about the incident and what Brown actually said), makes totally false disparaging remarks about Harris, says he is going to sue Brown, says he has the crash report but won't release it, and the report, if he actually has it, is about a completely different incident that started this whole thing.
And this is normal behavior? The really disturbing part is that Trump keeps doing this shite over and over again. The man is a clinical psychologist's wet dream.

Now you have hurt my feelings. That was a stinging rebuke.
Here's the thing, Guy. Trump confused an incident that actually happened to him, except it was with Nate Holden in Atlantic City and not Willie Brown somewhere in California. In itself, not a big deal, he made a mistake.
But then Trump had to go on, and on, about how Brown said disparaging remarks about Harris. Brown is on tape saying that is absolutely false.
And that is Trump in a nutshell. He is a pathological liar and your hero.

Why are people saying it’s false? Why should we believe Willie Brown over Donald Trump?
Produce the records. It's just that simple.
But we are still waiting on Melania's immigration papers that Trump promised "in two weeks." That promise was in July, 2015. I am not holding my breath.

Hydraulic problems were not rare events though.
Flew the B757 out of PHX. Never left one passenger, gal of fuel, or any cargo behind because of performance issues, summer, winter, whatever.
BTY, I landed in PHX with a hydraulic failure. We had to declare the emmergency but it was pretty much routine.
Folks don't seem to understand that a system putting out 3000 psi will have failures. Hence the back up systems.
Fly Safe!

RR RB211's. Flew this aiecraft for nearly 20 years. It's been a while but I seem to remember 60K thrust a side for an aircraft, at least the one's we flew, whose max TO weight was 240K.
Do the math!
Also, triple backup on the hydraulic system. I can assure you no one was in any danger.

You obviously know nothing about the B757.

Educate yourself before posting
Thanks for advising me on the education requirements for board posting. I ceased my formal professional education a few years ago because of mandatory retirement age restrictions. I guess I haven't kept up with proper msg board protocol. But in my defense I have been away from NO for decades and somehow missed the whole CSP/Bollinger condo business. Life changing information there. But, hey, I get it; you are the smartest guy in the room and are doing a hell of a job as ST msg monitor. Keep up the good work.
Yep, there it is on NOLA. Didn't come up when I just searched. My bad.
My fault. I looked it up on NOLA and didn't see any news. Thought it was his.
