What would it take for you to not be apathetic towards next season?

Assuming they keep Dennis Allen for whatever fricking reason
Can’t think of much short of somehow getting into the mix for one of the first round QBs in this class

I'm trying to be honest. I want DA gone, but I guess I'd still be interested if the Saints got an exciting QB and new OC. Probably would not last very long though. However, maybe even that wouldn't do it. I don't know.

Seems pretty hopeless honestly unless you completely overhaul the coaching staff. This team under this staff has characteristics of bad losing teams. Dennis’s Allen has never had a team with a winning record. Hard to get excited about that

Ideally I want DA gone. If he’s not then I guess getting a good QB would do.

They could get the #1 overall pick in a trade and it wouldn’t give me any confidence so long as DA is still head coach.

New coach and new quarterback. Both need change, stat.

A new offensive coordinator would at least get me to pay attention. The only way I’ll feel energized is if there’s a total staff turnover.

The whole premise of hiring DA was to keep continuity and try to keep the success SP had going. It’s pretty clear he cannot do that. So what is the point in keeping him? They tried it, it didn’t work. Now you are just keeping a proven loser HC another year to be nice.

I would be stunned (but VERY happy) if dumbarse DA gets whacked.

Might as well face it, we are going to have a crap 2023 season. Hopefully we don't keep giving away future draft picks to try and salvage a new QB out of the draft. Play the season as best as we can and do well in the next two drafts to rebuild.

I'm tired of all of the injuries. Look I'm not going to sit here and make excuses and say that that's why this season was a crap fest.
But just look at how many different rotations we had to use on the offensive line again this year. That group cannot stay healthy at all. I'm not really sure how many games they all played together. The group that was intended to be the starters originally.
It does affect play calling I believe though you saw how vanilla it was last week against the Eagles and they still sacked us like six or seven times.
Saw where the defense played better here at the end of the season so that was good.
But yeah we need a new quarterback, a new OC.
Just makes you wonder who is going to be the main one making those kind of decisions.

All the injuries…
Seems to be a common pattern with the other Pro franchise in NOLA. Blame it on bad gris gris …

At minimum an entirely new Offensive Staff and approach. I will still have a hard time after watching Dennis stare blankly from the sideline all season but that could possibly get me to convince myself there's a chance.

I feel like the most exciting part of next season will be pulling for a top 3 pick. We were denied even that this season

THIS THIS THIS
If Allen comes back, for me to not be apathetic, we’d have to 1) get several draft picks for Sean Payton, 2) get a new QB, 3) draft an exciting rookie, 4) trade MT13 for someone like Allen Robinson & Cam Akers, 5) some key/big free agent signings like Von Bell and Kareem Hunt, etc., and 6) get rid of Peat and shore up the offensive line.
But even then I’d still be thinking we wasted all this work for Dennis Allen to lose games for us.

Being an actual Saints fan? I won't anticipate a great season (or even a really good one) but I will still watch every game, pull for the team, and hope we win.
