Lutz, Roby, Jaylon Smith? They have lost their minds.

Just relax and watch. Not all of those are going to stay gone.

And a K for anything (unless your Justin Tucker) is a good things.

All of these players have younger/cheaper or more versatile replacements. I dont understand the melting at all.

Can we keep the overreactions to a single thread? There is still a lot to happen, and as it has been said in many threads some of these vets cut will be back. The Saints appear to do this a couple of times each season, releasing a vet and bringing them back after the entire roster has been solidified.

Smith is the one I wouldn’t have risked losing. Not with us one injury away at LB from being fricked. He played well too. Don’t understand this one.

Not if someone decides to pick him up. I know the Saints are planning to bring him back after week 1 when his contract isn’t guaranteed for the year but with no depth behind the top 2 I’m not sure I would have made that gamble, that’s all.

This is not the draft. Players go where they want and many have agreements already in place. This is not new.

Lutz got beaten out for a younger and cheaper option. Hard to say if this was the right move at this point.

Roby was average for us, is 31 yo, and the Saints have invested heavily at DB through the draft.

Smith will likely be back.

We've missed the playoffs two years in a row. We need to get younger.

Calm your tits.

Well if my math is correct we have 2 more division titles than anyone else in the NFC South in that time frame so I'd say they have been doing a little something right

the Lutz move was great business... you get rid of that contract, and get something for a guy that you replaced with a rookie anyway... great move

Roby is on an inflated contract too... tells me they REALLY like Lattimore and Taylor as our starters and Adebo in the slot... not much behind them, but we'll see...

Smith looked like a reformed player and him being cut was very surprising considering LB isn't exactly a strength of ours... dunno man... i could've seen him playing a part here, especially with how fast he was playing out there

These are more puzzling, especially how Smith looked in the last week
