We keep hearing that the Seahawks will not trade Russel Wilson and others that have been suggested have been labeled as undesirable or not available.

Who do you think the Saints could get that you believe would do the job?

Winston, mariota, trubisky, Matt corral, Pickett, and maybe Daniel Jones, maybe.

I say Winston

Weren’t there rumors that the raiders want Mariota to be the guy. If this is the case saints need to go after Carr

The real question is do you prefer Jameis to Jimmy G? Those will likely be the best 2 options available.

Is he expected to be cut?

I wouldn’t mind having Jimmy G as a backup for Jameis

They drafted a QB in the 1st round last year that they really like. If they end up starting him next year, Jimmy G will either be traded or cut.

Well, when you shopping at dollar general, sometimes you buy clover valley brand. Winston was sorta in that group last year, and he became our starter

It's Jameis. He's the best option if we can't get Russ or Rodgers. Which we won't.

There's also no NFL quality QBs in the draft this year.

Any QB with a last name of Carr gives me the shivers

To be fair, Derek Carr is a pretty good QB.

Yeah, assuming we can afford him without destroying our roster, he's my favorite listed in this thread

Unless we get Russell or Rodgers we stay with Jameis. He is our best option even if we were to get QB a high in the draft.

Honestly I think Winston will be much cheaper. I see a ton of upside in Winston. If he can continue to improve off of what we saw this year I think he could be a legitimate 5K 40 td/ 15 int player. Which would be franchise QB worthy.

For what he had to work with at receiver he played extremely well. He really did a good job taking care of the ball. He made a few boneheaded throws but who doesn’t.

Even if true, new coaching staff will take Carr over Mariota every time. They may be willing to move on from him to get their guy (doubtful this happens), but it won't be for Mariota

Would anyone expect Seattle to say anything different? If Wilson truly wants to get out of there (and why wouldn't he, as they are clearly in a rebuilding stage with a coach who isn't long for the league), it likely can and will happen. It's in Seattle's best interest to move on and get something. Wilson is only under contract through 2023, and its doubtful they are competitive in the NFC West next year. The price for him only goes down if they wait until he's a year away from free agency.
