What does firing Kellen Moore REALLY do when Loomis is picking the replacement?

Yes, this team is poorly coached in a lot of ways and Moore might be in over his head. The same problems again and again and inability to gameplan. I get it.

But you’re also letting Loomis, who picked this entire roster, pick his 3rd coach in 6 years.

The problem is the top. The very top. We are just putting lipstick on a pig

Loomis will never truly step down.

He will give himself a new role within the organization and prop up Kai or Ireland as his replacement, but still continue to meddle in day to day operations.

who picked this entire roster,

you can criticize him for picking Moore but to pretend he has total control over the roster is disingenuous at best

that said, my biggest gripe with him is coach selection this last cycle when realistic options like McCarthy and Klint were available.

Watching the Falcons the last two weeks and it dawned on me that a Loomis protégé of 20 years drafted basically that whole roster

It gives you a chance of finding a unicorn that could overcome the deficiencies in the organization...take control in a place where there's a clear vacuum of leadership, etc.

It's a 1 in 10 at best.

This organization isn't capable of building a winner. That's the reality that most people don't want to admit.

Gayle has ZERO idea how to manage the franchise. The people she has running the franchise are deficiencies relative to the rest of the league.

Gayle doesn't really care about winning. That's one problem. But, the bigger problem is that she's receiving zero pressure for losing. So, she's not suffering at all.

The woman didn't know the name of the head coach when she hired him. And, she received almost zero pushback for that. Can you imagine what the national media would have done had Jerry Jones displayed that level of ignorance on a football issue related to the Cowboys?

He’s responsible for everything. If not directly, he’s hiring the people making the decisions

To truly fix the issue we need to address the root cause of our trouble

just like an AD in college. no GM should be allowed to make 3 football hires without himself being fired as well. It shows he is a failure as well.

I thought Mike McCarthy really wanted that Pittsburgh job that's where he's from.

did he actually interview here?

No GM should be part of an ownership trust if he’s not part of the immediate family.

That was the cycle after ours. Tomlin was still coach at the time, so no reason to think he'd step down. Mickey never even interviewed him so he pulled his name out once he realized we were waiting on Moore's playoff run

The more fans that give up tickets, the more they’ll turn around and sell to brokers and the Dome will look like a neutral site game every week.

Starting with the no call and numerous bad calls in the Dome and poor roster construction, there is no home field advantage currently in the Dome.

The crowd was loud and into it for the Raiders (save for the end) and halfway through the Falcons game but the coaching has caused the fans to give up
