I see that Navarro Bowman is up for the taking, he's 30 years old and may not be the man he once was with the 49er's..but I believe that he could make an immediate impact if he were signed.

2 year deal?? making him 32 in his final season with us.

ILB & Others FA List

Others that could be interesting:

Dee Ford - 27
Nigel Bradham - 28
Barkevious Mingo - 27
Sheldon Richardson - 27
Bennie Logan - 28
Lamarcus Joyner - 27

Bowman didn't want to come here when he was a FA during the season so what would change now?

not that he isn't a good player or anything. Just don't see him choosing to come here now after not wanting to come here during the season.

AJ Klein is severely underrated huh? With him at MLB we were the 8th ranked defense. It's not until Manti took over and some other injuries that we dropped down to 17th. We don't need a MLB. We need a SAM.

Seems like we have a lot of depth at LB.

Def. end depth chart is zilch.

ILB is one of the last things we need, IMO. Especially when some of those guys will be chasing the $$$$. $$$$ which we won't have. Anybody we're able to sign at the position won't be much better than what we had this year. Draft someone in the middle-late rounds possibly. Stay healthy next year, we'll be fine at ILB.

Klein was great and he and Teo had a good rotation. I even think Teo did okay when he was forced to start.

We have much bigger needs at TE, WR, DT & OLB.

I think TE and WR are priority in FA

Teo exceeded expectations but I think we will draft another Mike.

Klein was phenomenal as the 80th rated LB in pro football focus with a rating of 36.

All three LB'er positions can be upgraded.
I would have no problem with it and I'm sure they are looking at just that.

I don't get the Klein love. He was solid but wasn't setting the world on fire.

Is Mingo even in the league anymore?

How many alignment issues do you recall at the latter part of the season? Several, right? Seemed to become an issue out of nowhere, right?

Hope that helps.

with the colts this past season. actually near the top of the league in forced fumbles, a few sacks, a few pass defensed playing less than half the snaps. was a key special teamer for them too

he's not a starter but could be a backup in the Kikaha role. Mingo has at least been durable and would be cheap. some would argue he still has potential

I wouldn't dismiss the Navarro Bowman possibility. The Saints were very interested in him and he decided to stay in the Bay area. Changing teams in the middle of the season can be tricky with veterans because they often times have family situations that make it more difficult or less attractive to make big moves on short notice, if they can control it.

Making a move in the offseason allows for a much easier transition for their family life etc.

I think that has as much to do, maybe more, with Vaccaro being out as it does with Klein.
