Kool aid and yiadom were bad today.

Sucks b/c we had our best secondary in years last season and in one short year it has gone to shite.

That’s the cost of being in cap hell thanks to Loomis, and it costs you a good young player in Adebo.

Will Johnson looks legit. We passed on him for Shough. He’d probably be our best corner day 1. Not sure how bad his medicals were and I know that’s why he dropped. But he was the best corner in the draft.

Adebo isn’t worth $36mm guaranteed. We should let someone else pay him that.

Thought the team played pretty well..

Only negative I would point is that the guys who really played well are the same guys who will be in a retirement home next year.

Not exactly a great sign for the rebuild

Rattler cannot go through progressions. He had to have one read quick throws to be successful. Moore gave him a ton of those looks, which helped him. But there is no deep ball threat whatsoever.

Maybe it's hard to tell without watching sky cast, but I didn't see a lot of open receivers, especially deep. Every catch had a DB closely trailing or just on top of the receiver. Maybe Ratt wasn't forcing 50/50 balls. If so, I like the maturity.

We split with Carolina and beat New England to secure a Top 3 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Nitpick here but luckily it was only 2 years, and he just turned 23 a few months ago. So we still have time to see what he has this year and next, and sign him to another contract while still young enough to play through it if the price is right.

What I mainly saw was a team that is able and willing to compete, but we will need a better qb and a number 1 corner if we want to make that possible.

I don't know if Shough will prove better than Rattler, but Rattler is the same guy from last year. He was LUCKY to not walk out of that game with 2 picks on and easy dropped int and one called back because of a penalty away from the play. Even his "good" plays he is putting the ball in bad spots almost every time and the receivers are bailing him out.

He forced a bunch of 50/50 balls both short and deep. He was extremely lucky to come away with no picks.

If our receivers weren't fighting for the ball that game would have gone a lot worse. Tbh I'd rather see him check down every play until the defense opens up because when he throws into coverage it's not pretty. Our checkdowns and around the line screen throws were the only time he looked actually good throwing. The rest were receivers (especially JJ) bailing him out.

I like the RB situation, but they NEED more touches. 11 touches for Kamara and less for Neal and Miller combined won't cut it. Use Kamara in space as that is where he is most dangerous. He can still make a lot of guys miss in open space and can turn on his deceptive speed.

Do not use Kamara up the gut at all. We have deep threats. Shaheed and Cooks can burn, but we need to use the run to set that up.

TE is still a concern as I believe that Johnson should have caught that ball. From what I saw, Baker didn't knock it loose.

Defense looked pretty good. Liked the schemes where Kool-Aid and/or Cam Jordan got to Murray uncontested.

I know that it is only one game with the offensive squad we wanted Rattler to have, BUT that toss-up INT which was thankfully called back was a poor throw. Carr hit Shaheed in stride a few times, but it wasn't some 50/50 ball. He had some bad throws into traffic that were almost picked off.

I miss the days where you could watch Drew drop back 3-5 steps and then step up in the pocket and throw a dart. I thought Rattler had some opportunities to do that but didn't take advantage. His scrambling ability is good, but MAN..........SLIDE for goodness sake.

Because they weren't open. Some of the play calling wasn't very good either. I watched some of the sky cast and that INT to Shaheed was 100% on the WR. He slowed his route. That's why the safety was was beating him to the ball. He should have never slowed and blew by him.

There was a few times Rattler could have threw it further but the protection was breaking down fast.

He played decent yesterday. Not great but not awful like everyone believes.

Yea that's the kind of stuff I'm thinking. I think Rattler is perfectly fine. The hate is undeserved.
