Drew would have never taken a sack in field goal range b's Cowboys. Bridgewater cannot read blitzes well. They teed off on him. He telegraphed his passes and holds the ball way too long.
That disrupts a precision passes game. Great quarterbacks, which Bridgewater isn't, thrives on reading defenses and throws quickly.

Controversy?????? LMAO!!!! What planet are you OWN? O. The MFL ( Mars Football League ). Give Bridgewater credit for his play. One game doesn't make a champion.

Bridgewater has a better arm. Except Brees has a substantially better football iq. He also has better ball placement.
Why do you say that?
Have you watched any of the thousands of snaps Drew Brees has played? If so, is it not clear that very few people who have ever lived have a higher football IQ than he?

against Tampa. Not taking anything away from Teddy, he had a great game. Get back to me after he does this against a good defense.

Or 3. Without Breesus we would not have tasted the sweet, sweet nectar of winning the Super Bowl. He can play until he’s 65 for all I care.

Frick Joe Montana, Tom Brady and Brett Farve.

Brees is the GOAT.

Ex: Bledsoe vs THE GOAT
If Teddy is playing lights out, and the team is winning, why wouldn’t you keep Teddy as your starter. Why take a chance at that point? Breeze wound not be the first starter to lose his position to a younger talented quarterback. It’s not about Drew Breeze, it’s about what’s best for the team.

This is just silly. First of all, Bledsoe wasn't elite, just not even close to the level of Brees. There are many reasons why, but if we just boil it down to one stat it would be this: Bledsoe's career high QB rating for a season was 87.7. Brees has done better than that 15 seasons in a row, usually by a substantial margin.

Second, you are comparing Teddy to the GOAT. Just... shite. I think Teddy is a pretty good quarterback. I think he could be great. But he's already got a couple seasons as a starter under his belt, and I just don't see him becoming the next GOAT.

No this is not even a question.

What's a question is TB5 wins the games he starts or even loses one, then Brees takes back over after the bye or when he's shown the staff that he's ready in practice. Saints continue on a tear into the playoffs, make a good push but fall short of the Championship.

Both Brees and TB5 are on 1 year deals. (I know Brees has an option but for the sake of argument)

Do they resign Brees to another 1+1 contract and let TB5 go start somewhere else? Does TB5 settle for another 1 year and wait and see deal? Can the team afford to lock up TB5 on a long term deal with Brees under contract?

The reason I use this scenario is that I firmly believe if the Saints win the SB (Which I believe is a strong possibility if Brees returns with no lingering affects) that Brees will retire with 2 SB rings, a laundry list of records and be a first ballot HoFer. (JMO)

I know you posted this as a joke just to get us Saints fans frustrated with such a stupid thought process. I think it's also a cry for help and I hope you get it. Remember, you are special and dog gone it, people do like you. Just not on this site.

Measuring player greatness by championships is dumb.

Zero SB rings:
Dan Marino
Barry Sanders
Eric Dickerson

One or more SB rings:
Brad Johnson
Trent Dilfer
Eli Manning

That's not to say that Brady isn't better than Brees, but it is silly to count super bowl rings as the main metric of greatness.

Interesting to me how many people overstate

Brees loss of arm strength
He still makes the throw when it counts.
Some of you occasionally sound like Cowherd.

If I have to explain it to you after watching Brees play for years, you are beyond help. Brees is elite, one of the GOATs to ever play NFL football.

One of the saddest days in the history of historic New Orleans will be when Drew Brees announces his retirement.

Teddy can go 6 & 0.

When Brees is ready, he gets his job back. Period.

Saying that which there is some truth there, if Michael Jordan had all the records and never won 1 NBA title would he be considered the GOAT?

Personally I think Bill Russell is becuz he won at all level even in high school and as a coach. , but that’s another discussion at some other time.
