We need help at every level. I can’t think of one player who automatically makes this team better with the way we’ve played so far this season. Our offensive line is almost all first rounders and they still suck. Do we go for the wide receiver from Ohio State? He might be a a phenomenal receiver, but what good is it if our quarterback can’t stay up right? And with Loomis in charge, does it even matter

You simply take the best assets that transcend whatever coaching regime is there. You don’t take anyone who is too scheme specific. This can be anyone including QB if you think he’s better than Shough.

Offensive line

This is the one group that I simply don’t think you can spend another high premium pick on.

We’ve overspent on Oline to the extreme detriment of the rest of the roster and it still kinda sucks.

At some point you have to use premium picks on a variety of positions and find an offensive line starter in a mid round or FA. You don’t need 5 fricking first rounders and with the way some of these dudes play I don’t think they’re particularly better than a 3rd rounder in there.

I think if we pick top 5(likely), nothing is off the table, including QB.

I’ve heard Loomis has been drooling over Whit Weeks ability to get hurt.

Pass rush feels like the biggest need today. Murray is having a fricking pick nick in the backfield

You take the best players available to you and figure it out later. Shough will never be a great player but he can be a serviceable starter with better protection and weapons. I’d start with the lines if possible and work inside out.

Start with not drafting a player that has a significant injury history. The Saints desperately need a run game, but there are so many needs take your pick

The best player in college hands down. The most explosive player in college.

I guess if you think someone is potentially a great player you have to take that though. I’d think you could get something for Shough in that situation.

You trade the pick plain and simple

Accumulate draft picks for this draft coming up

Saints have a lot of weaknesses

But the two biggest weaknesses are quarterback and head coach

I agree. They clearly can’t identify college talent at that position. There is no use in passing up talent elsewhere for you to get an underperforming 1st round lineman.

It’s the definition of insanity if we keep doing it. Spend on a guard in FA and take a crack at some RTs in the mid rounds to compete with Fuaga and build depth. Maybe one wins and you can move him inside. But on a team this devoid of overall talent you can’t just keep flushing firsts.
