I'm not a homer, and I know our D is trending in the right direction, but they've had one good performance and 3 horrendous ones...

Washington has the #3 defense and #14 offense in the league, and is 7th in turnover margin. I know they haven't played many good teams, but neither have we.

Is part of this an effect of ingram coming back, or opinion based on last years defensive progression, or is 7 points an awfully large line for us against this team?

eta: sorry +7, but you know what i meant

Good defense goes further than good offense. That probably has something to do with it.

A primerime game like this in the dome is prob worth 4 - 4.5 points. I expect it to be rocking.

First primetime game of the year. The saints have won three in a row. Brees is going to break a record. The dome is going to be fricking bananas.

For some reason the Saints struggle with Washington.

Saints documented struggles against Washington + Saints documented struggles against Alex Smith = Me heavily drinking during the game.

That’s a pretty big spread for the NFL

I probably wouldn't watch the game if I were you.

What type of person needs a excuse to drink heavily?

Sometimes I just don't understand todays world.

Yeah, Redskins are usually a tough game, but those have generally been the day time slots. Primetime, at home, Mark Ingram coming back too. I would be absolutely shocked if this wasn't at least a 7-10 point win. This whole team will be laser focused this week to make sure Drew gets that record at home in primetime.

Saints are 7 point favorites. Home teams typically are 3 point favorites.

i think unless they really suck, most teams who are semi close in strength, will see the home team get a 6-7 point advantage on a monday night home game

no. home team advantage is 3-4 points, max. I don't get where the other 3-4 are coming from

Their o-line is banged up, and there are huge questions whether they can play from behind.

Drew Brees does play historically well in Primetime games especially at home. However, Washington always comes to play against New Orleans. I think this will be a field goal game.
