I'll believe it when I see it.....Kamara is the key to success for the Saints this year.

Not even close. This is all on Jameis.

Being this team was without Jameis for so long last season and we’re still a 49er loss away (if my memory serves me correct) from making the playoffs they undoubtedly would have been in with Jameis. So this isn’t outlandish in the least bit.

Without Kamara we really don't have a RB corps.
Ingram at 32 and a few UDFAs is not going to relieve any pressure off Winston. And if the offense relies on him slinging it, then we are looking at the 30/30 QB again.

I love our special teams
If Lutz stays healthy that makes a huge difference.
How many place kickers did we go through last year?
I remember Brain Johnson missed an extra point last year against the Titans and that was a super close game
We also failed at a two point conversion. Wouldn't have had to go for that two if not for the missed extra point.
The big one was an interception by M Williams in the end zone that was negated by a penalty.
Crazy cause the Titans ended up as the #1 seed in the AFC

Last season one more win gets us in.
Remember we had our 4th string QB start a game.
And a kicker who couldn’t make a high school team.

So im.just making sure I have it right. If we go 8-2 in the first 10 games but Kamara is suspended 6 of those games he still gets credit for the success but if jameis has the same stats he was having last year and we have a losing record, it's jameis fault right?

I’m not sold. Need to see more than what we saw briefly last year. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut sometimes. See Trent Dilfer.

that is fair.
a lot left to unpack.
But what we've added could work wonders. Imagine if Trautman steps up and is more consistent. He has more on the line this year to produce.
the options we have to spread the field just simply blow away what we had last year.

It’s not like he’s been an offensive coordinator for a year and called plays with Payton not in the building.
I’ve seen many ‘national experts’ totally forget this fact.

I’m not saying he can’t come out and light it up. He just has a lot to prove to help us all forget his past.

True statement, we were a half game from the playoffs last year with NO Winston. But there’s a big gulf between “playoff team” and “contender.” I’m not really interested in getting blown out in a wild card game

I agree with his statement. We weren't anywhere near "just ok" last season after Jameis went down. We have definitely upgraded on offense and defense.
Giving Winston all of the extra weapons allows him to get rid of the ball quicker. Defenses won't be able to focus only on MT or Deonte. You throw in Landry and Olave to the mix now as well.
Adebo is going to be a stud, Lattimore is Lattimore and with Davis, Werner, Jordan, Davenport and Mattheiu....come on man, we're stacked.
A lot of teams have lost key players over the offseason.....Matt Ryan, Davante Adams, Tyreek Hill, Russell Wilson, Amari Cooper etc....Us, on the other hand, have gained more than lost.

Actually this should be a no brainer. You lose your #1 receiver for the entire season, lose your starting Q.B. for 2/3 of the season, lose one of the top kickers in the NFL for the season and on top of all of this go through the vast number of injuries the rest of team suffered. They are all back looking healthy. I do not see a downgrade at any position on this team but I do see many upgrades on the defense and with the return of our injured starters on offense. There may not be but a couple of teams in the NFL this year with the kind of talent that is across the board on this Saints roster. I don't think I'm exaggerating. This one is going to be on Dennis Allen and Pete Carmichael.

This is a team with a lot of new pieces with a new coach and will have a new personality. Speculations are garbage at this point. I’m going to watch the season unfold and enjoy it for what it is.
