I was kidding. I thought it was obvious.

It is one practice. I was just making fun of the over reactors by ... over reacting.

Does anyone here not think Strief has a good 2 years left in him anyway?

I am not very sold on an OL with Lelito starting at such a crucial position for us based on the importance of the position to our success and based off what we have seen from him so far.

I think Peat could be an excellent OG prospect as well and maybe he would be better suited for this offense this season if that is where he lined up.

An OL featuring Armstead, Peat, Unger, Evans, and Strief could be one of the best in the league IMO.

I do not understand having such a talented player sitting on the bench in either case...with Peat or Strief sitting based on the investment placed in both players(via draft selection or financial commitment) compared to a Lelito.

Not trying to sound like Chicken Little with a knee jerk reaction to 1 days news...I just thought LG was always the biggest hole we had this off season on Offense after Center and never felt like we addressed it.

Meanwhile RT with Strief has been one of the most consistent positions we have had for years on the OL at times outperforming Evans who is considered an All Pro.

I hated the Peate pick. And looks like I'll continue to do so.

Everyone else has already beat up your mother's, so what makes yours so special?

Now if you meant to say, "fight me, pussy",

get out of here with your internet tough guy act and go back to your mom's laundry room and sort your magic the gathering cards.

Sounds like he might be the road grader type of lineman that has to play guard for a few years, then make a move to RT for a few years.

Guard?

Yeah, it's a good thing we took a project offensive lineman with our first pick.

You know, because taking L. Collins to come in and dominate at guard in the 3rd round would have been crazy and all...

Peat was a mistake. We should have taken Parker. Anyone that thinks Parker won't be a really good pro is kidding themselves.

The switch from LT to RT ain't easy for everyone. If he's still getting his lunch took well into preseason, then it's time to begin considering worrying.

if we used an early 1st round pick on a guard i would be quite furious

especially compounding giving up jimmy graham for a center

He may just be struggling on transitioning to the speed of the NFL, which is fairly common for positions that must react (see WR, QB, OT, DB).

well to be fair, top-shelf OTs typically produce and often dominate their rookie years

now this is an EARLY practice and the season hasn't started yet, but if he's not starting and producing early then i will be getting worried

Just when I think alot of the people on this page couldn't get any stupider you go and prove me wrong.

1.It takes a little while for rookie O-lineman to develop and get used to the speed of the NFL.
2.Peat was never going to be a starter this season anyway. That is Strief's spot and will stay his spot probably until next year.
3.Peat is a Tackle and will stay a Tackle stop with the move him to guard stupidity.
4.It was one fricking practice with pads!!!

Top flight anything usually dominates, but look at the overall consensus of guys playing on the edge.

Armstead struggled his first season.
Strife took years to come around.
Jamal Brown played initially at RT because of his problems on the edge.
Pace gave up a few sacks.

You are right though. Guys like Thomas, Roaf, Bocelli were beasts from day 1. I think Peat will do fine in the NFL; he has the body, he has the hands, long arms, and finishes his blocks. If it isn't at RT, move him next to he C. It really was the safest of the safest picks. If he doesn't have the chops for T you know he will be able to work out at G.

We most likely are redshirting our number first round pick (13). Peliclown has a right to be a little upset. That being said, this team is still very talented. Head back to the pelicans board, not here. This is coming from your biggest supporter on this sight cause I agree with about 75% of the things you say about the pelicans.

I don't really agree with that. He got his arse handed to him by Greg Hardy in his first ever NFL start, but after that he was very solid to the end the season and in our couple playoff games.
