2 sacks, 3 TFLS. He’s the only G6 edge in the past decade with a 98th percentile RAS and win rate in true pass sets

I had to look him up yesterday. 18.5 career sacks with Central Michigan and first team all MAC. May have gotten us a steal

jkylejohnson - Michael Heldman- Central Michigan Chippewa

Here’s a thread from after the draft with more info on the kid. I liked his measurables and productivity, but wanted to wait until I saw some game reps since he was an UDFA.

I hope we keep him on the roster and develop him. We’ve needed an actual pass rusher for a while now.

I liked what I saw when I keyed in on him. Need to go watch more of the plays where he DIDNT make the play and see if he set edges/fillled lanes/ate blocks.

Because I think he could be a guy based on my limited sample of attention

He was playing against dudes who will be selling insurance in a month, he will likely be on the practice squad this year

He was playing against the only dudes he could play against. By your logic no one on the field could help their case

I'd have no problem with that particularly if he continues to be this productive. That would be a good sign that there is some quality talent ahead of him. I would rather have him available on the practice squad vs on the trainer's table which would be a refreshing change.

You can't teach that level of athleticism and he has some decent pass rush moves. If he is solid on special teams, then you absolutely have to make room on the 53 if you think someone else will steal him from the PS.

Ok fine, we can cut Rattler to make space for him.

He was one guy I thought would make the team off of the udfa thread.

he had a great day, for sure, but i'd like to see him going against starters, to see if he can have success there too
