That girl that works with them that does hits on Jordy and Moscona's shows said this yesterday. I too was kind of caught off guard by it. It was on in the background while I was working, but I distinctly remember hearing her talk about how terrible he is after "she watched the film."

I was like wait what?

This sounds no different than mainstream news outlets that hive mind regurgitate some message fed to them.

Damn. Pretty spot on.

I’d much rather support a passionate fan like a Chris Rosvoglou than an Underhill.

I've really only paid attention to him some on Twitter. Use to anyway. But the idea of having to pay for info on the Saints is silly to me.

I got to record with him a couple of times years ago when I was still doing the podcast.

He became popular on Twitter because he'd actually interact with the fans and hung out with popular Twitter posters.

I think it's impressive what's he's been able to do with the NOF brand. I always liked Mike Triplett and the woman he has on the podcast actually sounds like she knows what she's talking about.

I listen to the podcast but I don't pay to read the articles. I don't know if there's anyone's writing I like enough to actually pay for it. I'd rather just deal with ads. Maybe I'm old school.

It will be interesting if he is working with someone inside the organization. During the Payton years almost none of the local writers knew anything before the national media.

I noticed OP’s observation this week and thought to myself what an awful look it was for NOF and Underhill. He’s been pumping Penning forever, then does a total about face overnight. Bush league reporting and honestly really arrogant that he believes the fans aren’t educated enough to pick up on it. I agree with all of the other comments in this thread in that I used to enjoy his reporting. I’m done with it now. Not that it makes any difference to him or anybody else, but I unfollowed his NOF Instagram after that.

Just shows he doesn’t really believe what he writes. He’s click hunting, and any little piece of intel he gets he’s going to try to be first to market

Hurst at LT with Peat (ehhh), McCoy, Ruiz and Ramczyk is probably our best OL with the current roster.

Guess Penning will be back in the lineup with Peat injuring his groin today.

The whole World is a whore and it appears Nick will tell the story he is told to tell by the Saints.

Of course, because like most media members these days, access is more important to them than the truth. So they'll happily push the narrative they're being given.

In other words, Underhill isn't allowed to change his mind about a certain player after several weeks of regular season play? Since he supported him earlier, then he is forced to always support him? That is silly message board poster logic.

No, sounds like he is getting info and putting out a piece that makes it look like he determined Penning had an issue just before something else comes out that he could be benched. Makes it look like he knows more about scouting when in reality, he was tipped.

Guy TJ posted a benign interview video of Alvin Kamara after the game that evidently Brooke Kirchofer took and TJ did not give NOF credit and Nick basically tried to just totally embarrass the guy by publicly going at him on Twitter for stealing the video

Not really benign if not giving credit. That is pretty much a non-no in the media.

Yea, he used to be good or at least I thought he was good.
I stopped listening to him when he pretty much guaranteed that the offense would improve after Brees retired because Jameis could throw the ball deep

Underhill was cool when he was more worried about just being a good reporter and being passionate about the Saints and wanting to do this own thing against the other local papers. But the blow hards on Twitter have inflated his ego and he’s way more concerned about his brand than anything else. It’s sickening to see what he’s turned into

Underhill and Trip are still miles better than any other saints reporters. Nick was a dickhead in his first run in New Orleans too, he just had a smaller platform.

This Penning report is really weird though

Oh he has great coverage. Him adding Triplett was a great next step.

Imo he has gotten too full of himself now. I sometimes check his Twitter but that's about it.

Someone on here said he bragged about having 400 shoes and a keypad on his closet. That is some teenage girl shite.
No one should defend that type of behavior.

On top of that he is wrong a lot. His predictions never come ture
