and here comes the retarded statements conspired out of thin air.
And here come what realistic fans views as retarded with your blind support no matter the move. You are happy just having a team in the NFL with no expectations of performance. Any criticism is unwarranted and unfair in your view.

Every contract should be like this: you only get your full pay if you play more than 90% of the time.

If Mathieu makes this team we will be horrible.
Mathieu simply cannot play in the NFL anymore.
He lacks foot speed and refuses to hit people.
Does Loomis know other teams can watch our film?

The vast majority of players that get hurt do so fulfilling their contracts, so it's hard to say they don't deserve the money that was agreed upon. And for those that get hurt doing other stuff, they can get dinged for part of their salary and even signing bonus.
There is the issue of some players sitting out with any little thing, but that is pretty rare to change the rule for the outlier.
What I do think should change is that a portion (maybe 50%) of each game check in which the player was injured should be refunded on the next year's cap, since the team did not get the value out of it, although I understand this could be gamed and teams could sit out players with "injuries" just to gain an advantage if the year isn't going well.

quote:Not if the bonuses are classified as likely to be earned. I read that someone said Nick indicated that all except the last level of bonuses are likely to be earned, which means $6.25 million would be the cap hit which was his original base salary. So, do not see much cap savings (unless he gave up his roster bonus).
That and the incentives are pushed into next year if he earns them, meaning he is only on the cap for the base and whatever proration of the signing bonus was on this year.

Any bonus for x amount of playing time is classed as not likely to be earned, no matter the player's injury history (or lack thereof).
While the early ones in reality are likely, they will all be classed as unlikely (we have done several of these in the past and they are always unlikely the whole way through).
Edit:
Not sure if we have the option to label them as likely instead if we wanted, but I don't see us wanting to

Ok but can we just agree that loomis is having to do this as opposed to wanting to do it as he had in the past.

No because we are at $20 mil in space (before the Reid signing, and we all know that will be 4 mil on the cap first year tops). He wanted to do this. Or more so the coach wanted to keep him and we did it for shits and giggles.

It’s like people are clueless how terrible he has been the past 2 years - freaking awful.

Honey Badger needs to gracefully fade into the sunset but he’s got that beautiful property on the river to pay for

Why??
What the hell are we doing?
Loomis is burning our team and its future with each passing year.
We will never recover as long as this imbecile is in the building.
I'm sick of it.

I wish you could summit a proposal to the NFL to accomplish your idea.
Even if some of the teams game the system to an extent, a team like the Saints was obviously devastated by injuries and could have benefited greatly.
RG and the Competition Committee, please consider doing this or some iteration of it.

on a rebuilding team.
Agreed. However, Loomis has stated he doesn't believe in rebuilding. He may be a retard, but he's the boss.
