You can't catch the ball and be facing in one direction and then be completely facing the opposite direction without catching it

How long do you have to have the ball for it to be a catch? I can't find anything on that rule.

Was a bang bang play. However it was ruled on the field would be upheld. No way they overturn it either way. Wish I was wrong though
