That’s not how it works bruh. The other team has to agree. Cincinnati was not trading that pick they sure as frick weren’t trading it for #24. and no it’s not worth it to get Daniels and have no team around him, not that Washington is trading out either. the point is to try and win not appease some retards that are fans of the local college

I hope you're laughing because it would be almost impossible to accomplish this. Because Jayden Daniels is incredible

I love Joe as much as anyone, but he hasn’t stayed healthy. What makes you think we could keep him healthy if we gave up a bunch of picks and neglected our offensive line?

You do realize this is a loaded qb draft, and that the next several years are not, right?

The Saints will not trade up for Jayden. The reasonable assets are not available to make such a trade.

I thought the silly petty hatred because they take a backseat to LSU would end once Shawn was gawn but I’m not fully sure.
This is not true. The Saints know that a star LSU product would pack the Superdome. Jayden Daniels Is that player that would bring the boom sound back to the home games.
The Jayden Daniels star is destined to shine elsewhere. You’ll have to admire him from afar; or just watch him on a TV in your living room.

Every year at draft time there is a “loaded QB class”. It’s a complete crap shoot and there’s usually one, maybe two, QB that pans out every year.

Incorrect. The next two years are qb barren.
Remember just a few years ago when Kenny Picket was the top qb prosepect by far? He went 20th.
This class is talent loaded like 2020 (Burrow/Herbert etc).

Yes
And we won’t be taking one

I heard it was Suh's old place.

That would be a Ricky Williams type of fiasco, and probably would end up worse because Daniels is a premier QB. The only situation where it wouldn't doom the franchise for 2+ years is if he falls low enough to a team that doesn't need a QB, or falls all the way to the Saints. But, trading to #1, 2, or 3 from 14? Even Loomis isn't that batshit insane.

I'm sorry but no. I love the Saints and I love Jayden. Let my man fly. Let him succeed. My only hope and prayer was that he didn't end up in Atlanta.
The Saints don't deserve Jayden.

I agree with all of that but if Jayden, or any QB they may have a elite grade on, happens to be there at #5 Chargers or #7 when Titans are on the clock I could see and support Mickey putting together a necessary trade for said QB to avoid a repeat of Mahomes/Chiefs. After that you have a several teams that could all take said QB, and I especially could see Payton & Broncos sitting there at #12 not wanting to repeat that mistake and being eager to trade up.
Let's just say draft goes like this, even if some of QB names change
#1 Bears select QB Caleb Williams
#2 Commanders select QB Drake Maye
#3 Patriots select QB Jayden Daniels
#4 Cardinals---Trade with Vikings who select QB JJ McCarthy (Here's where I think the draft could really start to change if Cardinals opt to trade Kyler Murray and draft a QB, though that's less likely now since $29.5M just became guaranteed to him this season) WR is a huge need for them, but if they could possibly unload Murray to somebody like the Raiders to get an extra few picks to grab a QB here and a good WR later from Raiders pick in a WR heavy class. Giants, Vikings, Broncos, Saints, & to a lesser degree even Jets & Seahawks are all teams that could be looking at this spot
#5 Chargers do not need QB. Same as the #4 spot, if there is a QB here that a team covets one of the aforementioned teams need the Chargers will be receiving trade calls with Bo Nix & Michael Penix on the board
#6 Giants need a QB
#7 Titans do not need a QB
#8 Falcons do not need a QB after signing Cousins but they wouldn't make that trade with us in division knowing we would take a QB
#9 Bears will have taken a QB at #1
#10 Jets should be in QB market
#11 Vikings need a QB
#12 Broncos need a QB
#13 Raiders need a QB
#14 Saints could be in QB market

Sonny Weaver Jr. couldn't make this trade happen.

This isn’t a public relations issue.
I like Jayden a lot, but that doesn’t
mean it would be a good football move. The whole idea that the Saints were anti-LSU is a fantasy.

The guy this thread is about, Jayden Daniels, was not even projected as a first round pick a year ago. And remember guys like Tua and Trevor Lawerence who were the next big thing? How did that work out.
Shedeur Sanders, Quinn Ewers, Drew Allar and Carson Beck are already being talked about for next years draft. Some QB will win the heisman and be “the next big thing”. It’s the same thing every year. There’s usually one year every four years when there is a down year of QBs.

Bears, Commanders, and Patriots are not moving.
Williams, Maye, and Daniels will be going to these teams.
