Would you guys be opposed to the Saints trading Cooks to Miami for Jarvis Landry?

My logic is, With Brees Declining arm strength Cooks really adds little value. Landry is not as fast, but is a fantastic route runner that would complete Brees really well!

Seems lopsided

This offense needs Cooks. Safeties have to account for him every snap.

On TNF I saw the Bengals man to man Landry for much of the night with a LB and it was effective.

This would lead to more stacked fronts and exotic blitzes to attack our OL while taking away the one threat you have to make them pay for trying.

Trade Ingram

For:
1 Corners
2 DE's
3 LB's
and a side of
1 large guard.

We already have our Landry on the roster in Michael Thomas. This trade is unnecessary.

Yes, I would be opposed.

Cooks is better.

Should've drafted Landry when we had the chance. Instead we got too cute and picked a quick bust.

Allen Robinson would have been the better choice between the two receivers though.

2 58 New Orleans Saints Stanley Jean-Baptiste
2 59 Indianapolis Colts Jack Mewhort
2 60 Carolina Panthers Kony Ealy
2 61 Jacksonville Jaguars Allen Robinson
2 62 New England Patriots Jimmy Garoppolo
2 63 Miami Dolphins Jarvis Landry

that's why the team fricked up

i would of took Jimmy G before that bust

We get everything that Landry offers an offense out of our top 3, and way more.

Landry's biggest strengths:

-He is elusive (but slow). Cooks is far more elusive and much, much, much faster. Cooks ran faster on the 98 yard TD than anyone else has been recorded running since we started tracking next gen stats at the beginning of 2015.

-He catches everything. Amazing hands. Snead has this, but Michael Thomas has it even more. Have you guys seen the catches he has been making? They are definitely not body catches. These are hands-only, away from his body. Amazing catches. The dude has some of the best hands I've ever seen, and they're huge.

We could definitely use someone similar to Landry in our offense (a short yardage player, like a better Cadet), but it is not something that we need desperately. We are getting almost everything you need out of a WR corps right now with our guys.
