He had 2 TDs today leaving him 1 short.

Drew can now break the record on MNF

With both players being so close I do not expect much fanfare. Brees could throw 3 tomorrow and Brady could throw 4 next week and take the lead...

2 short of breaking. 1 would only tie.

Someone already said what Brees needs.

Whoever breaks it first will get fanfare.

Then if Brady throws 4, Brees can throw 3 and retake it again.

But have you seen Brady lately. He lucked into 3 against the Texans and only managed 2 against the horrible Bengals. He ain't throwing 4 unless his defense sets him up 3 or 4 times at the 10 (which with that D is possible).

This reminds me of when Nolan Ryan and Steve Carlton were engaged in a neck-and-neck battle for the all-time strikeout record. Ryan would strike out 10 to go up, then in his next start, Carlton would strike out 11. It went on like that for a while until Ryan was up by one or two and Carlton got knocked out after 1/3 inning in his next start. Ryan then proceeded to fan 16 in HIS next start and it was all over.

It’s meaningless - Brady is clearly GOAT and Brees should be considered 2nd greatest by many.

Brady’s unprecedented amount of Super Bowls and Super Bowl MVPs mean his legacy will never be topped. Dude is an absolute legend and is also much cooler off the field as well.

Great point. To get a full appreciation and accurate comparison, people need to consider the number of games each has played in order to reach those numbers.

Based on your post, I'm assuming you didn't. Let me help you out with that...

Brady: 283
Brees: 272

Patriots are a complete joke both in football and the ownership side. Dirty as frick. Brees throws for 4 today.
