Joe Johnson makes this choice hard. I still go with Jordan/rankins/Suh/doesn’t matter

While the Rams have more cap space this year, they could potentially put themselves in cap hell by going after Suh. In the next 2 years they have to pay Donald, Gurley, Marcus Peters, Goff, and Lamarcus Joyner. All of those guys will demand top dollar at their position, and its not necessarily easy to make an argument that Suh would be more valuable to that team then one of those guys.

I wanna say that Glover/Johnson/Hand/Howard D set the Saints season sack record at like 55 or something.

They were so dominating against the run and pass, it didn't matter that we literally had off-the-street scrubs at LB & CB due to injuries, iirc.

Los Angeles has $30M in cap space; NOLA is $4M in the red. Money talks.

Honestly, I don't see the Titans as serious competition, but the chance to play with the up and coming Rams, live in LA, team with Donald, and make a shitload of money is going to be hard for Suh to pass up.

He might be inclined to try to win one with Brees, but that is probably only a 2 year window.

It's been posted the moves that we can make to get space back pretty quickly. If we're agreed on a #, we're gonna make it happen.

While the idea of Suh & Donald is terrifying, they also have Brockers and Easley inside a 3-4 defese, and now with no Quinn on the edge.

Too much money in the interior and too crowded.

I think the Rams are in 3rd place, just like Suh scheduled his visits.

Rams just re-signed Easley, though that may not be a reflection of their faith in signing Suh.

I think Suh really wants a 4-3 D on a contending team.

It's gotta be why he scheduled the Saints first.

Rams have a lot of their talent on 1 yr deals, not much locked up long term. They haven't even resigned Donald long term yet. They got cap room and long term cap room.

Good point. I wanna say the rams have like $100MM in cap space in 2019, as of right now, but that will go very fast

Donald, Goff, and Gurley will eat up most of that. Peters too, if he isn’t a knucklehead again.

You gotta think the fact that the Rams are playing in the shitty arse Coliseum right now and will be there for the next couple years will have some bearing on his decision.

I mean really look at their locker room.....

Not to mention, Whitworth would be their only lineman under contract in 2019. This would be a very nearsighted move by the Rams, unless they were able to get Suh on a 1 year deal. But if Suh wants a one year deal, the Saints are the better option.

Jordan Schultz ? Verified account @Schultz_Report

Just spoke with #Suh: Money has not been discussed at this point, as he shrewdly wanted to respect each organization and see what both the #Saints and the #Titans had to offer aside from sheer dollars. He knows the $$$ will come.

This has to be good for us. If he's not even talking money, just looking for the best situation to play and win, we have to be up there.

No one else in the mix has both Drew and a player like Cam on the line.

Of the options so far, Rams aren't far off with Goff (obviously not same level as Brees but played very well last year) and Donald. They have their own cap issues otherwise though.
