I didn't know he took money out of the "NFL stadium building fund" to provide weapons to Ukraine. I learned something new today!

That was a smartass comment at the end of things we could actually use the money for but that is one thing cities use taxpayer money for.

So say they build a 3 billion dollar stadium with taxpayer money, then they charge taxes on everything in that stadium: drinks, food, seats, suites, parking, merchandise, etc... Where do those tax funds got to?

Out of the 15.2 billion that went to Ukraine for weapons, how many tax dollars has Russia paid us for the bombs that were dropped on them by way of the US? Cause we know Ukraine didn't pay taxes for basically welfare bombs

So basically we got inflation out of the 15.2 billion: higher gas prices because Russia cut us off and a 5 dollar gallon of milk since they're paying more in fuel charges to transport

You're welcome

This. shite if I was a Bears fan I’d be heartbroken about leaving Soldier Field. I hope we never leave the Dome.

All that typing just to get downvoted to hell lol with that weak arse take. The Dome is part of the city...something you cant say about literally any one of these other places you named. In a real intimate way too not just because its a part of the city skyline. 2005 type shite.

There isn`t anything wrong with the SUPERDOME.They are
upgrading it every few years. Now the city its in is
a thought for a different time.
The DOME is ICONIC the exterior always has looked great.I don`t know what poeple want .The same fans would bitch if
the state were to want to put tax payer money to build a
new one.And thats the only way it would happen.

That’s the main thing for me. The location is PERFECT - other than the bashed in windows while you’re at a game.

No thanks to a new spot on the north shore or West Bank.

You need to learn the difference in state taxes and federal and how those dollars are allocated.

If you were a dick in school like you're trying to be now, then yes you did.

Let me ask, when you have taxes taking out for a purchase or paycheck, are you the only one of us that gets a questonaire each time asking you where every cent goes? If so you're pretty fricking special.

And you can stop with the mug ?? gifs, I don't drink beer

No, I don't get a questionnaire. But I'm 99.9999% sure that state taxes go to state funded things and local taxes go to locally funded things. I could be wrong, but the war in Ukraine is not funded by state and local taxes.

The Superdome isn’t going anywhere. It’s in the perfect location and has zero problems getting major sporting events.

The Super Dome is in great shape and is one of the most iconic sports venues in the world.

Bears fan couldn’t care less since the current version of Soldier Field looks like a spaceship crashed into the middle of it. It’s not even close to being the original Soldier Field.

I just feel like we're watching a very slow car crash. We all know the ask is coming. Maybe not now, maybe in 10 years, etc. But we gonna be able to answer the call? I don't think the NFL is gonna tell another Benson they can't move or sell the team this time.

Part of all the major upgrades and renewed lease was an agreement that Saints not move from NOLA/Dome for something like 25 years. I'd look it up, but I don't wanna. You can stop crying wolf.

Edit: here you go. It's 30 years. /end thread

Exactly and sadly this was a political decision, the organization wanted to get away from the completely incompetent politics of the city of Chicago.
