Time for the fans to make a stand

I love my Saints and the NFL but I really think us as fans need to make a stand and boycott the first game of the year(if there is one). We are the ones that are getting screwed here and it is starting to piss me off. Just my two cents worth.

Sorry, I may be one of the gullible people that eat this shite up but I'm not missing the first game of the year. I'm not missing any Saints games on TV if possible. Football season is a glorious time for me. Nothing like having people over, lighting up the grill and cracking beers and watching our boys in black and gold.

They will still get paid. They would still be playing the games, just no one would be in the stadium.

If/when there is a "first" game that will mean that the two sides have come to an agreement over how to divide the money we give them. No advantage would be had by the fans boycott.
The time is now for us the fans to have an effect. Call...write...email both sides NOW and let them know what you think.
Don't watch the NFL channel.
Don't show up to see players.
Don't buy NFL merchandice.
Etc Etc.
Add your own ideas and do whatever you feel is right.
But to miss the first game just misses the mark.

If no one is in the stadium (or even around the stadium tailgating, etc), then they aren't buying concessions, beers, etc. Thus, those people don't get paid.
The fans have NO POWER in this. You have to deal with that.
Besides, boycotting a game AFTER an agreement is reached isn't going to do a god damned thing.

The only way fans get screwed(and since we are talking sports use of the word screwed seems strange) is if they miss games. But if that happens you want us to miss more games by our own choice? You want fans to screw themselves?
