I actually think that would be a steal at 27, but I'm may be a bit of P&G Glasses where Chark is concernned.

as long as we don't draft Lamar Jackson.

I seem to be much less rustled by this idea than most. I think Jackson has great upside potential.

He also had a kid. I have 2 kids. Newborns are not easy on your body. Especially an active athlete. Its gonna show.

There’s a reason he was being graded around the 4th-6th round before the combine. I would lose my mind if we drafted him in the first round.

He is lazy on plays a lot (you'd know this if you watched lsu)

And he had a pain pill addiction and went to rehab.

Ever tried playing any sport with a bad shoulder? You’d look like you’re taking plays off to, the kid was injured all season and when he finally gets close to full strength, he gets a little wet body injury. So yes, hold it against him for the needed of pain medication to play CFB, it makes complete sense...

I think Key at 27 would be ok. Not mind melting, but I wouldn't be mad. I'm not sold on any of the TEs at 27, which kinda factors into my thought on Key.

I wouldn’t be mad at OL .... I think other than QB it’s the biggest differentiator in teams. A great OL can hide a lot of problems on your offense, and help to keep your defense off of the field. I think theirs a case to be made to take OL in the first 3 rounds every single year

100% agree here. The best teams are the ones that control the line of scrimmage. Every draft you should try to come away with at least one OL and DL. Never stop adding to the lines.

Was he 4th-6th round? I recall 2-4, mostly lower 2 upper 3 range.

Also, most of what I saw stated their reasoning, lack of opportunity to prove out due to lackluster QB play.

But I do tend to wear the P&G glasses at times, as I stated. I also didn't really spend as a much time as I usually do reading precombine grading as in past years, so you may be correct.

Excellent take...
What would the Saints organization/team look like if we excluded anyone that “abused” pain medication.

Sirius guys picked TE from Oklahoma for saints as an out of the box pic or diamond in the rough as he is very big and very fast

I do not think that Hurst will be the first TE to be drafted.

he won't be... he's 25 years old and maxed out on potential growth as a player.... he is what he is at this point... he's likely to be the 3rd or 4th TE, because of this....

I'd rather Fumagelli than Mark Andrews. Actually Fumagelli is still a REALLY good get if we don't burn a first round pic on a tight end.

Disappeared from the program, came in overweight, didn’t put any effort into this season except for 2 games, I saw a lot of issues with him with out bringing up any of the rumors like he developed a drug addiction or any of that. Just google Arden Key character concerns. There is only about 20 articles on it

I'd like to wait on TE til 3-4....I really hope we can pick up Meredith to help fill the WR need, a DT like Logan at a cap friendly price then go Edge Rusher, O Line, WR, TE....not necessarily in that order, I trust Ireland after the last two off-seasons

he actually may be the most complete combo TE in this draft...
