I don't expect either player to remain on there too long but makes sense to begin there as they continue to rehab injuries.

Not a surprise so no reason to react unreasonably.

Davenport had a finger amputated by the way.

They can come off this list as soon as they are ready to play. There is no waiting period.

Would love to know what the real issue is with MT. That injury was clearly much worse than they have disclosed publicly. He is going on 2 years without playing.

Yep. Some people will panic bc of this, but you're right, they shouldn't.

Davenport recently had an amputation. That just needs time.

Thomas was a question mark to be ready for training camp, so this doesn't really mean anything. If Thomas isn't looking better in a few weeks, then that could be cause for concern. We really need MT this year.

It’s always funny seeing some idiot who thinks somebody as competitive as Thomas is faking an injury.

It's still a pretty big problem. To my knowledge there is no stated timeline. It's been a looooong time.

I’ll never understand how after being out for damned near two years that suddenly we’re still ‘a few weeks out’. As if suddenly a magical moment will occur in which he’ll be finished healing and ready to go. It just doesn’t pass the smell test.

Just come out and say the dude doesn’t feel like participating yet, and he’ll play when he feels like it’s actually important, and they can’t make him. He doesn’t want to practice, or doesn’t feel he needs to. At least be honest about it.

He may have gotten MRSA or something like that I bet. Maybe it was never disclosed but that would give a series of setbacks for sure.

Listen to the Pat Mayo Experience podcast from earlier this week with the doctor

The doc goes into detail. Summary is he tore up his ankle in a way that is not how most ankle tears occur. It's on the opposite side as typical with a ligament that's much stronger, so a tear affects him a lot more.

I don’t need to see MT in any preseason game
Sounds like to me it’s a good way to avoid dog days of camp

It has been a long time, but he did have another surgery in Nov/Dec because he re-injured the ankle when he tried to come back last season. So naturally, they are probably being over cautious this time
