Brees didn’t even look before he threw it
Playing a divisional opponent, who has seen that play a bunch, you can’t do that

Plenty of melting on that throw mainly because it was almost the exact same pass as the Dallas interception.
At least throw a pic trying to make a pass downfield.
Still, glad we overcame it.

I didn't downvote you cuz I agree. I downvoted because you're a frickfaced moron who's trying to justify yourself being a terrible fan. You're pathetic. Down-fricking-vote.

Zombie 90% of the posts on this board yesterday were of the “fire everyone, Brees Sucks, trade Payton” etc types. There was very little discussion.
Drew is obviously pressing right now. But good teams finds ways to win, and great teams take personal responsibility to make a play for their brothers when they need it most.
Taysom made a play when his team needed it. Ingram made a play when his team needed it. That defense has played light out when it’s team needed it to.
This board has no chest. Drew will figure this out. His team will rally around him.

Cowboys won their last 5 games by an average of 5.4 points, with 8 being the biggest margin. Not exactly dominating the competition.
Rams just got absolutely beat down on offense.
Bears offense is really terrible against any defense with a pulse.
Seahawks and Vikings are like Jekel and Hyde. Skins are done on QB play alone.
Saints have 2 loses, one by 8 (terrible defense to start the year) and one by 3 (during a brief offensive rut).
I like our chances against ANY NFC team in the Dome, and any outside of the Bears on the road (more 50/50 looking to me).
So yeah while we have not looked comparatively great offensively the past few games (though we did still put up 31 and 28 in two of them), we are still usually winning games by a larger margin than any other NFC team.
We haven't had the cupcakes the Rams have had to run the score up on (Cards, 9ers, and Raiders). When we did it it was against teams that have competed closely in most of their games.

everyone fears the Bears again forgetting Eli was able to thrash them
While the Giants won (barely in OT), this is far from true. Eli was terrible (170 yards, 1 td, 1 int, and 3 sacks for a 65 QB rating).
It took Barkley playing as Barkley does (125 yards at over 5 ypc) and a trick 50 yard td pass from Beckham for them to pull it out.
Not to mention 2 picks (one a pick 6) thrown by Chase to help the Giants with field position.
Hell the Bears had 6 fumbles (4 by Chase) and were lucky to only lose one.
Between Barkley going off, the Bears O shitting the bed, and the trick play the Giants still barely won.

I advocate melting over lousy officiating during and after a game.
Insulting players and coaches in a knee jerk reaction during a game is an indicator of really uninformed fans or trolls that have an agenda.
When the effort is there but the results are challenging, why attack the players or coaches.
There are obstacles that are obvious and those that the players and coaches must remain silent about.
Before striking out against the team, why not learn some critical thinking tools in order to pose real constructive criticism.

Football is 4 quarters, and a miserable half doesn't necessarily mean the game is lost. We saw it firsthand yesterday.
Skins last year
Should have against the Vikings
Ravens
Numerous times in Brees career
Saints have always been capable of coming back
Dumb to just throw in the towel

To be fair it's stated the down votes count as up votes. This thread has 80 up votes to 0 down votes.

I don’t think you understand just how thin the difference is between the best team and worst team in the NFL. My point is we aren’t going to dominate every quarter of every game because all these teams have world class athletes.

I'm not asking for domination of every quarter. Just playing up to our potential.
I understand the Dallas game was different in that they have an incredible defense. We saw it again on display against the Eagles. They are legit.
But to play like we did against the Bucs for 2.5 quarters is inexcusable. For 2.5 quarters, the Bucs looked to be on par with the Cowboys defense.

Teams have 13 weeks of game footage on us. Think about it, how many times in the past few weeks have we seen the Taysom Hill plays, or you were at home and knew what we were about to run? I think its a testament to the improved play of our d and our goat QB. Its the NFL, every team we play have pros that play with pride. Doesn't help that every team we play have their crosshairs locked in on us.

Agree Zombie. They looked like shite for 2 quarters and we called it out. They came alive and then we cheered. It’s not that complicated.

Spot on. Sucks that justifiable criticism and observations are considered troll posts. Kills what’s good about this board.

1) Thomas...basically is 80% of the passing offense at the moment—that will change.
2) 3 games in 11 days was a big reason for the Dallas slump in addition of the about point. I know Dallas played the same schedule, but it was a home game for them and basically “their Super Bowl”
3) Stop looking at DB and his arm to be the salvation. This team needs a run game to gradually move away from reliance on DB passing for 300-plus yards. This will make us more balanced and allow us to keep him around a year or so longer—if the $$s work.
4) I guess we just need to win out and maintain home field throughout.

What's good about this board is the freedom to dish it and the freedom to take it.

That’s very true also. Unlike that other Saints board that would have us all holding hands and apologizing to one another.

Nobody wants this board to be like SR. Most don't have a problem saying man he should have caught that or what an awful play call. It's the all hell has broken loose folks, and nobody minds them being here, we just make fun of ya'll. All of us disagree with a play call or say something when a player makes a bad play. Most if not all don't want anyone banned, again, ya'll are just fun to laugh at. Now the trolling gets old but unless I'm drunk I just avoid those posters.
