How did you feel about the 25-0 second half?

GTFO.

There's a difference between being concerned, and chalking up an L in the second quarter. We even had an idiot who started a thread suggesting we need to pull for LA just to have a prayer at the second seed.

I mean we’re just at the time of year where everyone is kind of off. The Rams really haven’t looked good in a few weeks, everyone fears the Bears again forgetting Eli was able to thrash them, Cowboys easily could have lost to an eagles team we tea bagged.... It’s all about survival right now, not style points. Survive and get to the bye

The D is playing well and the offense has a long history of being productive, not worried.

I don’t blame anyone pissed off about that first half yesterday though

I think I read 10 underdogs won yesterday.

Saints pull off a 2 TD win on the road within the division.

It’s the nfl. Anything can happen

I just enjoyed CSP's face after Drew gently lobbed the ball to a Buc player.

If you are saying we need to run the ball more then I agree.

I thought it was great. Football amazes me in how much momentum can swing things. The block by Taysom was like electricity for this team.

The defense, outside of the first drive, had really come on and were playing well. But the offense just exploded. Hell, we were even running the ball at will while we struggled to run for most of the game.

I do believe what someone said, the Bucs were mentally fragile and wilted when the momentum shifted.

I hope we take the second half of this game and carry it over to Carolina.

lol no

Stating something is off and we haven't been good on offense for a few quarters is fine.

Saying we're going to lose out, that the players don't care, we have no shot to win a single playoff game, bench Brees for Taysom Hill or Teddy B, Brees is the same as Manning in his final year....all of that is melting on a level that you will never successfully argue is justified.

I absolutely think we do. Also need to get Kamara the ball more in space, and not try to run him between the tackles so much.

I don't necessarily agree with this. While the Saints have definitely played flat offensively over the last three games, the defense has played at an elite level without question. The Saints offense under Payton/Brees have always been streaky. When they're hot they're hot, and when they're not, you look at bad plays and just scratch your head (Brees' interception yesterday, for example). That being said, I think all of that is attributable to easily identified problems: bad offensive line play, lack of a deep threat, etc. It's not as if the team just started sucking all of the sudden.

The reason I'm not overly concerned about it is because a.) I know that a Brees/Payton offense can get hot immediately and then streak through the playoffs, and yesterday's second half could've been it, and b.) we have the defense to hold us over until that point. Numerous Saints teams in the past have faltered because of crap defense and the Brees/Payton machine coming off of a streak. If the defense keeps doing what they're doing, that's not going to happen this year.

I can't even explain what Brees was thinking during that throw. He does some weird stuff at times. He also held onto the ball way too long during that fumble to start the 3rd. Not his best day, but when momentum was seized, he zoned in.

I started a thread accusing the Saints of settling for the 2 spot. I thought they were just running a poopoo offense to keep the playbook close to the vest before the playoffs. Not sure if that's a melt but post-Dallas, that's honestly what the first half yesterday looked like.
And I bumped that thread.

You started a thread, as you stating, saying the Saints were settling for the 2 seed. Shortly after, they outscored the Bucs 25-0, and at the end of the night, we are the 1 seed.

That is a perfect example of a melt you can't justify.
