I don’t watch a ton of college football apart from LSU. But I haven’t seen a better NFL prospect than JD.

Please elaborate on this opinion, Maye looked average in games against teams that aren’t anywhere near world beaters this season.

I was just thinking after the PAC12 game last night, I’d have never predicted this in August.
Jayden looks like the only surefire one that will have success in the league.
Probably Caleb will as well depending on where he lands.
I don’t see it in Nix, he’s a system QB just like most Oregon QBs.
Penix is a question mark, could go either way.

I think if you believe Maye, Daniels and Williams are top 10 picks then Nix and Penix are your fringe first / early second round picks that’s pretty deep compared with most years. Nix would be amazing as a system QB on 49ers for example.

I'm realistic, so I know the likelihood of it happening is less than 1%, but I'd go crazy with joy if the Saints drafted JD5. Obviously not all Saints fans are LSU fans, but anyone that has watched that dude plays knows he brings excitement. That's exactly what this offense needs.

Drake Maye benefits from timely losses that keep him out of the spotlight and getting overanalyzed. Half the people that talk about how great he is haven't watched more than highlights.

Daniels looks like what Aaron Brooks COULD have been; amazingly smooth athlete who can sling it with the best of them. I hope he's got a better head on his shoulders.
Penix reminds me of Jameis or Jamarcus- can make any throw, and can make that throw 75 yds downfield. Again, I hope his head is better.
Nix is Mac Jones 2.0, a manager with a lot of weapons.
I think Williams is going full diva, in for a huge bust.

Maye is the best one. Daniels could be a stud or flame out, his year over year passing growth was crazy. Caleb Williams is a bust. Penix is a back up who may be okay as a spot starter. Nix is not going to be a factor.
