There are 3 QB's in this draft that have 1st round grades right now.

Kenny Pickett, Matt Corral, and Malik Wallis.
I think one of them will still be on the board when we select at #18.
Would you spend a 1st on one of those guys?
I especially like Pickett, but I think he'll be the first QB off the board.

Corral is the only one with a chance to be a starter. Willis is a glorified running back and Pickett can't throw in bad weather.

Ridder has the highest upside followed by Pickett.
As it stands now, Pickett is the only one I'd use a 1st on but you know how the draft goes. He's going to skyrocket after his pro day and the combine and go way higher than he should. My money is on Pickett being gone by #2 (Detroit)

Not defending him but can corral throw in bad weather. Even better what separates Corral from a guy like Manziel?

Our division is 2 domes, Florida, and North Carolina. I'm not worried about bad weather

This is what I saw as well. I don’t see his upside in the NFL.

No way I take any of those at 18.
How about this scenario, Cincinnati will be dying to trade up to get that center Linderbaum from Iowa. Drop down to 31, pick up some extra draft choices and draft one of those QB’s at 31 so we can have the 5th year option.
But if our top WR is there at 18, go there instead!

With all the buzz around Willis at the Senior Bowl I think there's a very good chance he'll be the first picked. Dude is fast, has the arm, practiced well and seems to have a really good personality so teams are going to love him.
Watching Sam Howell today reminded me why he looked like a future top pick two years ago and definitely a first rounder this year. None of the QBs had much time because both D lines dominated but Howell shows he really knows how to run an offense, has very strong arm and escapability and can run the ball very well. Plus even though he's short, he's built like a tank. He's the guy I'd target if I were drafting for the Saints.
I'm not convinced Pickett has the accuracy to be an elite NFL QB. He was erratic at Senior Bowl practice and even though he went 6/6 in the game, his completions were not NFL accurate.

If you believe in a QB enough to draft him in the first round , you don’t trade down from 18 and hope he is there at 31 so we can get an extra 3rd round pick.
I wouldn’t be suprised if all 3 are gone by 18.
I’d put all 3 above mac Jones / Justin fields last year. If saints fall in love with one of the 3 they may trade up all the way to #4.
Lions Texans and panthers all Drafting high with the need for a franchise qb.

How often does Cinci trade up?
I think they historically only trade back

Don't see it but often neither do the GM's who get paid bank to figure out just that singular question.
TBH what the hell do we do if we can't afford JW

We say that, then every year teams fall in love with the QBs and they all go top ten.

Howell looked pretty good today

I'm not wowed by any of them...but I wasn't wowed by Justin Herbert or Dak Prescott and they turned out alright.

Ahh the patented Brown’s technique for finding a qb. Trade down and grab the guy free falling down the draft. Hey but some analysts thought he was a first rounder so must be an absolute steal.
