Why are you guys torturing yourselves over the Saints bad moves? This franchise got lucky when the Payton-Brees Era fell out of the sky into its lap. That won't happen again in our lifetimes.

The true story of the real Saints is the story of football stupidity, haplessness, incompetence and bad luck. Don't dwell on it when the Saints experience an individual occurrence of stupidity, haplessness, incompetence or bad luck, because that's going to happen a lot.

Would love that Broncos pick and get Robinson the RB from Texas!

I always posted on this board that Hendrickson was more valuable than Davenport and was constantly bashed on this board for the truth. Guess it’s obvious now that Davenport is a bust and Hendrickson was the keeper!

Mickey Loomis is a fricking joke. See Ceedee Deuce if you need evidence.

Go back and read the forum posts on him

Someone should go bump the thread and see the truth. I know I wanted to keep him. Most people pointed to his poor run defense as wanting to get rid of him.

Or Payton is a joke for getting Loomis to pay a quarterback, that was closer to a disability check than a Superbowl, a ton of money

Letting him go to replace him with old man Jenkins is a giant whiff.

Jenkins was way above average for us when he came back to Nola.

Don’t mistake him being a bitch off the field for his production on the field. He was a very good safety.

5 players from that draft class alone signed contracts worth $400 mil combined.

And this board shite on Hendrickson for the 3 years he didn’t do shite prior to 2020

We need a young complementary back to eat about 30% of his ground work. I like Bigbsy and would also love Zach Evans, Dewayne McBride, or Zach Charbonnet. Want my RB2 to be 215+.

Good point. Have been saying this.

It's also the way he has been used. Get someone imaginative on offense and you will see the old kamara.

It's so funny man. No doubt the Saints have made hella stupid moves but come on. 90% of our fans wanted Vonn Bell gone. If we gave Hendrickson the deal that he got from Cincy, there would have been an absolute meltdown here.

We had a few incredible years in the draft. We were never going to realistically keep everyone.

People bring this shite up and it’s idiotic. This shite happens when you draft as well as the Saints have since 2016.

Everyone wanted to keep Hendrickson but everyone knew he was probably gone because of how he played and how we still had Davenport. Bell was a solid player for us in 2018 and 2019 but he wasn’t doing the kind of shite that he’s doing now. He wasn’t that great in coverage, was a decent blitzer and was very good as a run defender. He’s improved as a player for sure and more than earned his contract with the Bengals but he wasn’t that player for us in order to justify paying him that kind of money.

I don’t think that’s even remotely true. Maybe the first two years because he played a combined 16 games out of 32

I don’t remember anyone shitting on him in 2019 or 2020.

He had a rough first few weeks. I’ll never forget him getting torched over and over on MNF by Waller. But after those first 4-5 games he was an absolute stud for us and remained that way until he retired. He gave us better coverage than Bell, who at the time wasn’t good in coverage at all

Not sure what you think he signed for, but it wasn’t that much. Think Bell signed with the Bengals for less than what we offered. Kinda like the Ingram situation. He overplayed his hand and loss out in the end. Going off memory.

No surprise we let many of our younger already developed defensive players walk or gave them away for nothing. We made our bed and now we watch many of them continue to develop and make plays in the playoffs.

Not debating this point at all, but has Marcus Williams been worth the money for Baltimore? Haven’t heard or seen much from him since he left and I remember that lining up to be a huge hit, either cost-wise or talent loss
