Don’t you fret, we’ll have a high draft pick after next season too

Neither one of these should go in the first round much less the top of the first round.

By far? lol imagine thinking qb isn’t an issue for the saints

I don’t know the stats but id imagine the saints are amongst the league worst in QBR regardless of which qb is playing

You do one of 2 things:

Get a playmaker

Trade the pick for as many as you can and start building the base.

You suffer another year under Carr but start your process of building a base for a future QB and then next offseason you make the QB move.

go back and read my entire post instead of cherry picking a portion to be outraged about - FFS this is what I said:

quote:

QB is not our biggest issue by far - it is up there, but I would argue Oline is where we are lacking big time.

I quoted the part you conveniently chose to not read.

After all the draft capital spent on O line , there’s either a scouting issue or development issue.

Probably both actually

Im not sure spending a high draft pick on o line would change much tbh

Is OL a massive problem really?

Fuaga is a rookie and has been fine. Patrick isn’t a long term solution but has been fine. McCoy is hurt. Ruiz has been hurt but is serviceable. And Penning is serviceable, to everyone’s surprise.

Can you upgrade? Definitely. But you’re not drafting an interior OL in the top 5. So unless you have Will Campbell or Kelvin Banks just graded through the roof, I don’t think it’s an automatic pick.

This OL group when healthy is pretty good. It fell to shite when the interior was Saldiveri-McGovern-Young.

We need more than a QB.

Trade back and collect picks.

They’d have drafted some random d lineman if they had the 1st pick last year

Nussmeier actually reminds me of Derek Carr. We can get a younger version at least

The'll be plenty of top QBs in 2026 and the Saints should be picking top 5 again then.

Yeah we're qued up for a Cleveland Browns level run of top 5 picks for the next 4-5 years. We should be able to burn thru a few generational QBs until one finally sticks.

Yeah I like Sanders and Ward. The class may not be deep, but depth doesn’t matter if you’re picking first or second

You aint lying. Daniels looks like a generational player. None of these quarterbacks look like they could be good.

We need to build our talent up through a couple of drafts picking at the top with our full complement of picks and get our salary cap situation sorted and then take a qb.

There isn’t a single qb in the nfl who could come in and make the saints a good team, or a single coach. Our talent and roster is that bad. Why waste a chance to take an edge rusher or WR or another OL with a top ten pick as opposed to wasting on a mediocre qb to come in and suck on a bad team?

The Saints are tied with 9 teams that have 2 wins. Another win a couple and go all the way to 7-9 then draft another bust.
