The last TD is the most damning thing to fire DA

Not only do your players not recognize you, but their respect for you is so low that not only did they score in a blowout from the 1 yard line on their own decision and play call (I don’t mind this, but a big no-no for the everyone gets a trophy crowd) but they scored in a blowout from the 1 yard line on their own decision and play call AFTER YOU SPECIFICALLY TOLD THEM NOT TO.

that is horrible. you think prime NE did that under Belichek, Ravens or Chiefs under Harbaugh or Reid? Saints under Payton? No shot.

Then you go and take an earful from the opposing coach and can’t even get a word in edge wise to tell him that your team respects you so little that they did it against your wishes and your sorry, so you go on TV like a cuck and let it known nationally that your team respects you so little they directly defied you.

How embarrassing.

I mean honestly he should have just taken the blame for it and then disciplined the guys in private if he really cared. Now everyone knows he’s a bitch

Because its not a lame point. The fact the player’s completely ignored a coach and did what they want and then the coach threw them under the bus publicly is exactly whats wrong with this team. But again I’m talking to the guy who’s going to argue we technically are tied for first in the division.

Well, in case anyone was still wondering if Dennis Allen is head coach material, he just proved beyond a doubt that he is NOT!

Yes, because what’s really important is the decor of the end zones next year.

It should be the straw that broke the camel’s back after all the shitty losses that accrued throughout the season.

After the years of success this franchise enjoyed, two years of not making the playoffs is unacceptable. I would take it a step further and fire Mickey for that ridiculous contract he gave a mediocre qb, like Carr.

Yeah, the Saints need to move on from DA. But they also need to cut every player involved in that charade.

He’s handled this so poorly. Everything else you said plus the fact this is our biggest rival. He could’ve used this as something to attempt to endear him to fans some. Instead he goes and looks like a little bitch.

Seriously, when asked why they scored there he should have said "cause frick the Falcons".

Fans would jump back on his side.

I want DA fired as much as anyone, but the last game of the regular season, after a turnover, in a blowout that would still have the same 4_ looking score. It was a last minute decision by the players in the huddle. If there was ever a good time for over-ruling the head coach, this was it. Player was about to finish the season with 0 TDs.

The only thing truly wrong about the whole thing is, they should have lined-up in a run formation so defense knew it was coming.

Holy crap. Just re-read what you wrote in your head and think about it for a minute.

Maybe ask yourself a question: "Is there ever a good time for over-ruling the head coach?"

wow. This is a WAY WAY WAY bigger deal than people are making it. But, knowing the front office, they will ignore it. And by "it" I mean the fact that the players absolutely 10000% do not respect the head coach.

If DA keeps Mathieu after that interception return than he needs to be fire for that. Not the final TD

I’d fire Mickey for hiring DA and PC and doubling down saying we have the right people in the building.

Problem is I suspect Gayle doesnt know football like most owners and she might be heavily dependent on Loomis.

Its so funny if DA just went along with the TD being scored and didn’t apologize, none of this shite would happen. In fact, I think the fanbase would love him for pouring it on the Falcons and the Saints would go into the offseason with some positive energy. Instead this moron can’t even get a 48-17 win to workout in his favor lol

His reaction to it may turn out to cost him his job. That would be nice and the fans would owe the players a round

Literally nothing has happened, mate. This is all on TD and Saints twitter. That's it. You think this even reaches the radar of the front office in any meaningful way?

The Saints played hard all season, got better throughout the season, and that's it. Land 3 starters in the draft and stay the course is their takeaway.
