You my friend along with this organization are completely tone deaf if you don’t think this is a big deal. It’s embarrassing on so many levels what just happened to DA and how he handled it.

Almost no chance of it happening bc the FO is spineless just like the HC, but the sweet irony of blowing out a rival in week 18 only to have a player mutiny be the reason DA is let go sooner would be one of my favorite Saints stories of all time.
Jameis has been nothing but a consummate professional and great teammate since he got to Nola. He’s not the QB we need but I wish we could find a spot in the franchise for someone like him. The OL and offense stand with him. Even Cam, the long time defensive captain of Allen’s side of the ball, is another high character guy that’s siding with the players.
This is a horrible, awful look for DA. I’ve never been less confident in him as a HC and I’ve only ever thought he was awful in the role. One of the worst ever in history, without question. We will never make the playoffs as long as he’s coach and every day he still is puts our goals further out of reach.

This was not a player mutiny, this was one play in the last 1:10 seconds of the season. None of the players seemed to have any ill will or sharp negative tone towards DA in regards to this, other than "we wanted to help our teammate". I only played HS ball but to me this is not a very big issue, given the context.
Also if DA had just gone along with it and then it later comes out that he had not actually called the play then the same folks complaining would still be complaining saying "he didn't have the balls to call out his own players, and there's no accountability with Allen"

Name the last time you heard this happen in a NFL game since you don’t think its a big deal. I’ll wait for your answer.

It's not about a mutiny or whether or not the players "like" Dennis Allen. It's about respect. And they don't respect him. I've had bosses I like but that I didn't respect. You can't run a successful business like that. It's impossible.

That's usually the case. Most owners don't really get involved and hire a front office capable of managing it. Rather that than guys like Tepper and JJ coming in and doing more harm than good. You gotta let the guys you hired do the job, and you also have to be patient and give them time. However, once they are unable to do the job or like in DA's case lose the team you have to go a different direction. It's only going to get worse.

I think if they did this with Sean, he would have told the coach to go frick off. But behind the scenes, Winston would have gotten chewed out, maybe cut.

Theres already anonymous players reported with the Broncos saying they don’t like the way Sean has handled things with Russ. But nobody has the balls to say it in public in media, tweet support for it- like our players do. Thats the difference- it’s clear slap in the face and disrespect of DA and his decisions.

scoring isn't the problem. Doing it from the victory formation is the problem. most defenders just stand there at the snap. It poses a safety issue. If they would have just called a regular play, there would be no issue

I enjoyed the pettiness but after thinking on it I have decided it will bite the Saints the next time they run a Victory play and the opposing defense goes 100%, just in case.
