Easy to sling the ball around when your always behind. The offense numbers do not tell the whole story.

Hes a fricking center. Thats why the 1st round pick needed to be included.

Um, I can't believe anyone would even debate that we didn't come out on top after the Graham trade. I'll take anyone who's at the top of their given position over an inconsistent player who can't even block.

The Saints just finished with the #1 offense in the league. Gtfo here with this "Waaah we shoulda kept Graham" bs.

I'm starting to think you know nothing about football... Just because your behind in a game doesn't mean you can go out there and just throw the ball all over the field and the defense isn't going to do anything about... wtf does that even mean?

We owned Seattle with that trade. One of the best personnel moves made by the current regime.

Also,we missed the playoffs Graham's last year here, which means he is not the missing piece to our team.

Having a "Go To Guy" on offense would not have prevented our defense from giving up 35 first-half points earlier this afternoon.

I think Jimmy was poison to the locker room once his law suit was defeated. The chemistry between him and Drew suffered as well. I think that trade was good for The Saints.

As long as we have so much money going to Drew we aren't going to have the great players that command bigger salaries. We thrive on getting lower cost players and making them rise. This is especially true on Defense - many low end guys we hope rise up.

Brees made Graham and he can throw WRs and TEs open. We got the far better end of that trade cause Unger is really good at what he does where as Graham was reliant on Brees. Translation any TE or WR can be made by Drew Brees cause he is that good and the Unger trade was honestly the best move Loomis made in 3 years.

Not having Graham makes a difference in close games. You need a "go to guy" and jimmy was it. Good centers are a dime a dozen .

Sorry buddy, graham never stepped up in big games, he always disappeared.

The problem was Brees always just seemed to focus on Graham by trying to force the ball to him. He seemed to forget he had other receivers out on the field aside from Graham.

Glad to get rid of JG. Only if Stephon Anthony would have panned out better, the trade would have been the best Payton ever pulled!! But I still say Unger>>> Graham

Losing Jimmy cost us the playoffs, Saints could have gutted the defense for salary cap purpose to keep him. Saints D would have produce same results. Jimmy kept drives alive.

I'm not a Saints fan but I thought that was a good trade for NO. Yeah JG was a matchup nightmare for y'll but you're paying your QB 20+ mill a year in part to make his receivers better so you don't have to spend a ton on those guys. Unger is pretty good up front and the year before that trade the Saints OL was god awful.

Unger>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Graham

yep

the "first" sign this ship was sinking was when they cut some very good players, or just didn't try to resign them, (cant remember all the names but it was a mess of talent that ALL produced very well on other teams) just to have the money to sign graham and then having to get rid of graham after realizing he was only going through the motions (alligator arms, not finishing routes, stopping on routes if he got blocked at the line) and his desire to be playing here was gone.

they did a fantastic job of cleaning up the mess they created by not trading him or just releasing him back then (HUGE guaranteed money in that contract easily offsets his trade pick value vs just letting him go) but all the talent they let go just to keep a spoiled player who got his feelings hurt over his contract was where it all started going wrong, albeit just one of many instances.

We got the better of the deal. Where is our offence ranked today and last year?
