And I don’t care if we win out this team needs a real general not a lieutenant. Even if it isn’t Sean fine take your 1st round pick for wherever he does go and completely start over with someone new. Unfortunately I just think their personal feelings on DA is going to give him another year. I’d rather start the rebuild now. You pay Granderson, not Davenport and you extend Onyemata 2 years because you have a $10 million dead cap hit if you get rid of him. You have to draft interior DL early this year and a RB at some point but you almost are forced to take a QB in the first 3 rounds and hope he can develop behind a stopgap. But regardless of the draft you have to end the DA era.

I am too. If there’s a chance Sean wants to come back you have to take it. If not my bottom price is top 20 first round pick but if it’s a low 1st then I want their 2nd round pick too. Losing a coach of Payton’s level is going to hurt but we need to capitalize on it if it happens. The compensation for him will go a long way in the rebuild of this team.

We do not have nearly the leverage so many of you seem to have deluded yourselves of. But good luck hiring a good coach—with options—while simultaneously holding the best one in your franchise history hostage. Not to mention firing a guy after just 1 season when he finished with 4 straight wins and went 8-9. Guys will be lined up to Bourbon St. to work for a franchise who takes such good care of their coaches.

He deserves more than one year. The Saints made a mistake with Winston and had quite a few injuries. The defense is actually good. The offense needs to be seriously upgraded at every position.

Allen is growing into the HC role. A few players quit on the team but the team did not quit on Allen so that shows some promise. following Payton was going to be rough no matter who the coach is.

DA has done a horrible job most of the season but yhe last
few weeks they seem to have improved.He will not get fired.
He needs to fire Pete Carmicheal and bring in a no nonsense
coach who is big on detail and wont put up with mistakes.
Both DA and PC ane sigar store indians as far as aserting
authority over the team.In player interviews a couple of
players said that when they make mistakes in practice no one
says anything to them,hence lack of discipline on O.If DA
doesnt do this next year will be the same old shite.
