The temp by 8pm will be -12 with a 19 MPH and gusting. Wind chill will be -39 or lower. I may decline playing.

Also- isn't Green Bay open where the announcers are? How do they not freeze?

Yes, the NFL is real concerned about player and fan safety.

They can't give the tickets away because even GB fans won't go out in that crap!

It's going be 20 degrees in Philly so were still at a disadvantage. Cold weather game

I was shocked that so many people wanted SF to lose last Sun. I understand that getting the 5th seed would have meant A) The (albeit slim) possibility of the NFCCG being at home and B) potentially avoiding a trip to Seattle, but none of that would come into play in the Saints didn't win game 1. It will be cold in Philly, but nowhere near the miserable cold in GB. There's cold weather, then there is absolutely game-changing cold weather.

How can the NFL force people to be out in that for 3-4 hours (talking about players/coaches) and expose fans to that?

It seems like that is too much.

They would postpone the game for lightening. Why not for coldd like this?

I am really worried that people are going to have serious problems.

when do they move it to? Monday is going to be -14 and Tuesday is -7

Then the next week is divisional round.

Let me break this down for you: The difference between -19 and 20 degrees is 39 degrees. So imagine a day that is 95 outside and a day that is 56. That is the difference. We got lucky as hell to be in Philly

If you only consider week 1 of the playoffs, yes.

If you are thinking about trying to make a run to the NFCCG or SB, then no.

I honestly dont think it would even be worth our time going to Green Bay in that weather. And if you dont win the first one the second one is obsolete

that game in GB could cripple a franchise for year to come when they have 5 deaths, forget just this season

It's going to be a tossup in that weather. Neither team is going to be able to execute as normal. No one wants to play in that environment but don't confuse that with an impossibility to win.

That's true, but it's illogical as it relates to the evaluating the best chances of advancing to the SB.

I'd take two 50/50 type games over a 60/40 and a 20/80.

They should move it to the Dome in Detroit.
