He’s not built for the position. TE’s have to go over the middle and take licks from linebackers and DB’s. I think Taysom is gonna get his bell rung a few times and then be out for the season. His concussion and other injuries last year took a lot out of him.

I say we draft one or two TE’s and then keep using Taysom here and there as a jack of all trades.

I think he’ll continue to play that H-Back role that we’ve become accustomed to. Probably even some wildcat too. Allen just put the QB talk to bed.

He will be anything but a traditional TE.

I hope they get him involved in the screen game a little more. Payton was a big fan of the TE screen. I would much rather see him catching those passes with blockers in front than Josh Hill or Trautman.

He'll do the same stuff he does we'll just hopefully use him to kill drives at QB less.

He’s the modern split wide TE that is more if a receiving than blocking threat. He will be very good at it too and I’d assume he’s the #1 going into camp over Trautman.

He can get concussed anytime he's on the field.

Yet another shitty topic posted by you.

So, the team will have Vannett, Hill, Trautman, J Johnson & 2 rookie TEs? All for a system that typically only has 1 TE on the field at a time

Taysom is 220lbs, Chris Cooley was 240lbs last time he played…not a huge difference. Hill will be fine as an H-back TE.

use him as a 3rd down receiving back.

move him in the slot. move him outside. let him run.

Shut the frick up. It’s a perfectly reasonable and legitimate topic for a thread. Don’t read it or comment on it if you don’t enjoy the topic.

Bad take. There’s a huge difference between 220 and 240. That’s like the difference between Reggie Bush and Deuce McCallister at RB. Two totally different players.

Your logic is arse. You think he's more likely to get concussed at te so your solution is to still have him as a pass catcher and use him at qb where he'll get hit too. It's flawed logic.

Taysom lost that weight to play more qb. He'll add some mass this year.

I’d like to see him get carries at HB, especially while Alvin is out.

I’d bet he’s the 3rd best running back on the team, second without AK.

Everything you just mentioned is not as brutal as going over the middle and getting hit as a TE.

I wish he would retire just so maybe, just maybe there would be less than 5 threads started EVERYDAY about taysom or more specifically on he he couldn't or shouldn't play tightend.

Hell I have an idea for him judging at his popularity based on number of daily threads.

Why don't we keep his contract, paying him 10 million a year but instead of playing him and risking injury, before every game we have a crew bring him out before the game and he sits on a throne where he us called St. Taysom. We can have a weekly raffle for the Taysomnites, that can't stop making threads about him, to take the field weekly and kiss his arse weekly on national television. This solves two problems immediately, no injuries to him and we don't have to hear about how every coach is a dumbass for not using him right

His concussion was due to a cheap shot which can happen to anyone. I think the defenders have more to worry about being injured from contact with him.
