Wonder if this will be popular.

For example sept 7 noon home game. Train from mobile arrives at the train station at 1013 am, easy walk to Dome.

Post game, train departs 430 pm.

$60 round trip per person from Mobile, cheaper from MS,

Save parking and gas, drink as much as you want.

Curious if there’s a train from Jackson to New Orleans also?

Jackson MS? Yes, it's on the classic NO to Chicago line and is a very nice trip. It makes several stops along the way so takes about 4 hours IIRC.

Sounds like something that would be interesting to experience. It would be like hopping on the train from London to Liverpool for a Premier League match. Enjoy sir.

I take amtrak from Portland up to Seatts a couple times per year. Watch the early games on my phone as wifi / signal works about 70% of the way. Train let's out right near Seahawks stadium its actually a similar vibe to Saints pregaming

I would 100% take the train assuming it isn't a thunderdome train full of tweakers

Short answer, yes, that train will definitely sell out, and they may even add extra cars.

yeah that sounds like a really good deal. A long time ago they used to do two buses that would leave from in front of the mall and ride people over and back for the game.

I was too young to remember the price is though.

This is not saints related but sometimes I really wonder if there’s any trains in Antarctica…

Amtrak has horrible reputation for timeliness in the US, it’s only worse in NOLA with quality of local staff.

That said, your vehicle will be much better protected in Mobile vs some Superdome area parking lot. Roll the dice and board the train.

It’s too bad we have 0 prime time games where being an hour late is irrelevant.

might be a safer trip to drive from New Orleans to Mobile and take the train back to New Orleans

I’d rather take the train to a New Orleans cemetery than a Saints game this year. Will be just as exciting.

back in 2002, a friend and I rode a bus from Hank Aaron stadium (minor league Mobile baseball team AA) to the Packers-Saints game at the Super Dome. Fun game, Saints win.

Anyway, when our bus got back 5 vehicles had been broken into of people who were on our bus.

Zero security and of course no cameras in that parking lot.
